Apr 3, 2019A great addition to the text-based gothic adventure genre, following the example of Sunless Sea. A creative original fantasy realm, deep complex characters and lots of adventures, survival is much easier than the Sunless Sea, combats are turn based and path-finding is almost automatic. Very enjoyable.

Games Master UKApr 2, 2017A well-written game that's clearly a labour of love, but that isn't enough to stop it leaving us a little cold [March 2017, p.68]

Mar 17, 2017A fun, sad, scary and charming adventure that opens so many doors. It borrows a little too much from Sunless Sea, though, and the train management system is a boring chore.

Feb 6, 2017A House of Many Doors is a terrifying trek through the unknown, a disjointed story with startling descriptions of lost memories and slow declines into madness. It is beautiful, haunting, gripping… and boring. It is simply hard to identify with it, and complicated to understand, which prevents it from truly capitalizing on its amazing elements which would otherwise stand alone so well.
