    All of the gating is unnecessary, but if you're willing to dig into Seal the Deal there's a decent amount there.

    Considering that some of the earlier chapters have about 5-7 acts, it is kind of a letdown to have only 3 acts in the new one. Even though I like the setting of it, it’s a shame they didn’t add more missions to it, since it had so much potential. But, even though there are only 3 acts, they were pretty good. However, I had serious troubles with the camera in the final act. Sometimes I got stuck between two walls and wasn’t able to see, where I had to go. There was also a time the camera turned about 90°, even though I was standing on solid ground. I didn’t ever experience any of these problems as bad as in this level.

    The death wishes are a nice addition for those, who thought, that the main game was too easy. Basically you have to face levels you have already completed, but every one is changed up to make it more difficult. Sometimes you have to complete a stage within a limited amount of time and sometimes you have only a limited amount of jumps available. For those who want even more of a challenge, there are also certain conditions, which you can fulfil to get extra rewards. These extra conditions get only revealed after you beat the death wish once, which is kinda annoying. Otherwise you could just try to consider these conditions from the very beginning, so you don’t have to play the same thing for three times.

    On the positive side, the soundtrack is as excellent as the one of the main game. Just the death wish theme alone is absolutely gorgeous. (maybe even better than megalovania)

    It was ok. I think it was slightly worse than the main game because the new chapter didn't really offer something very new and the mainIt was ok. I think it was slightly worse than the main game because the new chapter didn't really offer something very new and the main gameplay element that could be considered novel, was frustrating if you aren't told that it becomes extremely easier if one uses a certain hat so the game could be hinting to that though it wasn't a very important element here.
    All in all, it was fine, it should had been part of the main game.
    PS. I don't have an opinion on the hard mode it introduces because I almost never play those unless they are of a mild type.    … Full Review »
