    Creative missions, replayability, and a diverse cast of characters. This is Mimimi Games' masterpiece, a game that not only pays homage to classics like Commandos — it's simply better. It thrived on Switch 2, with improved loading times and Joy-Con mouse support.

    If a game still provides immense enjoyment 9 years after its release, it is undoubtedly a masterpiece. Shadow Tactics: Blades of Shogun confirms this once again with its performance on the Switch 2.

    Thanks to the slick dynamics between the team members - kept together by a fairly interesting plot - and to the level design and enemy placements, each mission is a serious test of our concentration and problem-solving, and the use of the titular shadow tactics will prove very important at tackling some of the most difficult moments. Blades of the Shogun more than earned its place in the Nintendo Switch 2 catalogue.

    Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun’s Nintendo Switch 2 port is an excellent (if expensive) way to experience this wonderful title. Mimimi Games was one of the best, and Shadow Tactics was where they started to shine. At $40 MSRP for the base game and $20 for Aiko’s Choice, it isn’t cheap, but it is fantastic.

    Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun is an excellent real-time strategy game set in feudal Japan, featuring a great atmosphere (despite a somewhat predictable story), traditional control options and mouse support (Joy Con 2), and solid performance, along with a fairly accessible difficulty level for the genre.

    Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun is a great tactical stealth game that has not only held up wonderfully on its own, this new Nintendo Switch 2 release is the definitive way to play it on console so definitely get it if you enjoy challenging strategic gameplay.

    The setting is great, the characters are solid, and the missions provide just enough variety to keep the experience engaging all the way to the finish line. However, the game still shows its age, clearly bearing the marks of being a decade old.
