Feb 23, 2026Game Freak has regained its footing with Pokémon Legends Z-A Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. Lumiose City is the perfect playground for the developer’s playful experimentation as they chart a path forward, scoring success with real-time battle mechanics, meaningful character interactions, and heart-pounding Rogue Mega Evolution encounters. It makes me cautiously optimistic for whatever comes next. “Au revoir, my young friend.”

Dec 29, 2025Exciting and addictive as ever, Legends: Z-A isn't as big and varied as Arceus, but it is still a terrific refinement of the trusted franchise.

Dec 20, 2025Pokémon Legends: Z-A is an interesting spin-off fulfilling dream of some players – what would happen if combat system turned real-time? It is more dynamic approach filled with a lot of options, vast Pokédex, but partially limited to one location only. Lumiose City is interesting half-way through but is missing some richness of different regions. But somehow, Z-A could be attractive for new players thanks to different pace and some fresh ideas.
