Jul 14, 2026A JRPG with engaging active combat, and plenty of terrific characters to enjoy, even if perhaps the scope of the story seems limited.

Jul 13, 2026Granblue Fantasy Relink: Endless Ragnarok builds on the original JRPG to give us more to do after the end. It also runs quite well on the Switch 2, giving us another game to triumph as a handheld success. Some of the new elements, like Conflux, let us better appreciate the solid combat while making the necessary grind a bit easier. However, the big downside this time is it takes a while to get into what’s new and exciting.

Jul 12, 2026Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok is a great new addition to the Switch 2 library, offering an exciting, addictive, and content-rich RPG experience that no genre fan will want to miss out on. Though its story is a little middling, the deep character-building options, gorgeous animations, and enormous amount of endgame content make for a game that you can easily drop a few hundred hours into and still want more. It feels like the kind of game that always deserved to be experienced on a portable, and I’d highly recommend you pick this one up if you’re interested, especially if you have a high affinity for grind heavy action games like Monster Hunter or God Eater.

Jul 10, 2026It is visually striking and impressive, yet it attempts to cater to the widest possible player base - which isn't a crime, though it does limit the full potential depth of the combat system. Furthermore, dropping players right into the middle of the story (as Relink is not the first game in this universe) could prove problematic for those unfamiliar with Granblue.

Jul 9, 2026Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok is a strong expansion that gives dedicated players plenty of reasons to return, with six new characters, deeper progression systems, a fun Summon mechanic, crossplay support and the action-focused Conflux mode. Its story is underwhelming and some new systems lack variety or polish, but fans of Relink will find a rewarding and content-rich addition.

Jul 7, 2026If you played and loved the original release of Relink, then Endless Ragnarok is going to be an amazing time. It’s a heaping helping of new battles, new bosses, and new characters. Between that, the summon system, and some new progression mechanics, there’s so much to dive into. But this is still a pretty bare-bones RPG in a lot of ways. The plot is a gauzy layer draped over a constant combat loop. There’s a ton of front-loaded plot to absorb for new players. And the dialogue is to be endured rather than enjoyed. But, problems aside, this game will be a total blast for a very specific audience.

Jul 7, 2026Granblue Fantasy: Relink isn’t a game that I’d suggest for everybody, but if you’re a JRPG fan looking for something new to try and enjoy I’d say you can’t go wrong. With a fun roster of characters, beautiful art, and fast, energetic gameplay, I can’t wait to revisit Relink.

Jul 7, 2026Currently, I’m on Chapter 7 of the base game’s campaign, so I have yet to reach the contents of the DLC, but the game is a blast to play thus far, albeit a bit intimidating with all of its systems. Enemies also feel quite spongy, even on the easiest difficulty. I’ll have to agree yet again with David’s comparison of this game to Monster Hunter, maybe even a little bit of Tales of Arise. I can only imagine how grindy the game will get, going on repeated quests to grind for the material you need to get end-game equipment. Back to the campaign for now!
