AxewhipeS.Nov 23, 2007Ok, The game play can be both good and bad at times, and It is not the worst game ever. It's an o.k. game. The sounds get very repetitive and the game play can be off at times but I played worse.

Dec 19, 2012This game can easily be compared to Mario 64. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. There are about 11 levels with 4 or 5 bosses. These levels are very in detailed and have many boss, jumping, and collecting challenges. Although, the camera does get in the way a lot, and the game isn't a masterpiece. If you enjoy Toy Story, or you just want a fun game to play casually, you will like this game.

Feb 4, 2015I thought this was an amazing game for the Nintendo 64. It was very simple and easy to pick up. It also had lots of fun puzzles and bosses. Now yeah it is pretty much a kids game but that doesn't mean it isn't fun.

Nov 29, 2015I wouldn't call this awful, but it does have its problems. It can be glitchy at times, the controls kind of suck, and the game isn't the best graphically. However, I found the gameplay enjoyable after playing for a little bit. Never could seem to find that last Pizza Planet token though....
BTW
The PS version is so much better. -
Jun 1, 2018This game on the N64 ISN'T the worst.I do have to say it for myself, controls feel like a ice cude or a bannana peel, characters SCREAM "BUUUUUZZZZZZZZZZZZZ",and lastly The Game Is BIG like really BIG and remember Guys and Gals Your a TOY and toys could be small again your a BIG world so its hard to walk round (and i know its a paltformer) but still.*UGH* Still its a OK/Great Game.

Jan 14, 2023A typically bland 3D platformer cashing in on a popular movie license. Technically sound but soulless and uninspiring.

TotalGames.netBreaking the mould of film conversion failures, this is a great game and (niggling flaws aside) is fun to play.

It's not complicated or sexy, and, in fact, the N64 game isn't all that attractive or well designed. But it is possible to have fun with it. If you are a fan of the Pixar films, the game struggles to deliver the same experience in video-game format - largely due to the missing fmv cutscenes.

While Toy Story 2 admittedly boasts intuitive controls and tried-and-true platformer mechanics (that work), the Nintendo 64 version of the game is hampered by a poor framerate, washed out visuals and a decidedly blurry look when compared to its PlayStation counterpart. It's not difficult to ascertain that developer Traveller's Tales isn't focused on Nintendo 64 software -- only porting it as fast as possible.
