    It gives so much useful information about the game itself and pokemon as a whole, but has more rigid polygons than the first pokemon stadium.

    The game is really good but if you could ad things like a questto unlock things in the game then i'd have to give it a 10.

    The graphics are excellent. But, the announcer gets a little annoying after awhile. Its still okay. Its an easy game to play. Pokemon Stadium 2 is better than the first one.

    I played thousands of games but never pokmon games but i wantd to try it and the graphics are awsome and everything else was amasing.

    It's awseome. I've played it for half an hour over at my friends but I am having it for Christmas. Cant wait. I thick it's really good. Pokemon Crystal is good as well but not as good as Pokemon Stadium 2 so it deserves 10.

    Choose your own Pokemon team and battle with nearly 250 Pokemon available. Great graphics and a large amount of replay value makes this game a winner for both gamers and Pokemon fans!

Fun mini-games and lots of tournaments, without forgetting that we can play the version of pokemon red / blue or gold / silver on our television by putting the cartridge of the gameboy in the adapter that is included with the game.     It is Pokemon Gold Silver and Crystal. In glorius 3d battles. With awesome new modes. You can play pkmn on your tv. It rocks. Yeah, im talkin' to you, Mr "Ohhh pkmn is stupid i might go play the horrible game of digimon". In two words... IT ROCKS!!!!

    Really good experience when i first saw it on tv then i bought as a kid, still have it, still play it occasionally, worth having if you want to feel the johto thrill, the special moves are awesome and some even say johto is the best region so...cool!

    The attacks look cool but that was all. There was no adventure and action. If the game was my friend i would say LOSER to it.

    I thought that this game was more complex than the original. The added pokemon and types make it a lot harder to pick the perfect pokemon for battles, but that's what makes it interesting. I thought that the Academy helped out a lot. Also, I heard that playing the mini-games with your own pokemon will make them like you more.     First Pokemon Stadium brought the revolution to N64. This, the second one, isn't that original or fresh of a game like the first one. Basically, we could say this is a Pokemon Stadium 1.5. It does everything PS1 done but better, with more features (Pokemon's, tourneys, mini games...).     Now as an adult, I say this is still the best console game on Pokemon compared to its predecessor (Coliseum and Battle Revolution). Even if you don't have a Gameboy port drive for your portable games( Gold, Silver, Red, etc.), this game is still enjoyable. However, you are limited to rental Pokemon with random stats and move-sets that may not be in your favor against opponents, especiallyNow as an adult, I say this is still the best console game on Pokemon compared to its predecessor (Coliseum and Battle Revolution). Gameplay hours depend on how much you invest your time on the francise and what is available to you (Pokemon party, friends available, gameboy pack, etc.).     Not bad, wish you could use lugia, ho-oh, and mewtwo though. Otherwise, pretty fun. Also, great minigames. If only pokemon silver and gold didnt break so easily

    I Have Played It On An Emulator In My Phone, Because I Did Not Have Enough Money To Buy An N64 With The Game Itself. What I Hated In This Game Is Because That Some Of The Fully Evolved Rental Pokemon Have Usually Useless Moves, And Gym Leader Castle Is Such A Difficult Challenge, Plus The Rival Has 3 Of The Most Powerful Pokemon In During Generation 2. That's incredible in every sense of the word given that it featured all 250 pokemon, and that the N64 cartridges suffered from a severe lack of megabytes to work with. Speaking of cartridges, this game's cartridge came in beautiful gold & silver, the namesakes of the main pokemon games of that generation; Generation 2. TheAt the time, this game had the best graphics among all video games. That's incredible in every sense of the word given that it featured all 250 pokemon, and that the N64 cartridges suffered from a severe lack of megabytes to work with. Speaking of cartridges, this game's cartridge came in beautiful gold & silver, the namesakes of the main pokemon games of that generation; Generation 2. The most expansive generation ever to bless the pokemon franchise in terms of depth, tweaks, and rich features, all of which can be transferred to Pokemon Stadium 2. Unfortunately, one was required to have a gameboy color and some-accessory-that-I-haven't-found-in-local-shops to be able to transfer the necessary team to 100% the game, otherwise it's quite literally impossible. That said you can manage to play through a satisfying amount with the 240+ intentionally weak pokemon provided. I personally have always been frustrated that I just simply am not allowed to 100% it. Back then, a progress-paywall was unheard of outside of this game.

And you cannot transfer Pokémon from other games to a Gen II game until that game's save file has at least 150 mons in the Pokédex.

    It's a blast to plow through a Gen I game at 4x speed and    This game improves on Pokémon Stadium in every way except one: You can't use the GB Tower speed boost on Gold, Silver or Crystal until AFTER clearing the Elite Four in that cartridge's save file. And you cannot transfer Pokémon from other games to a Gen II game until that game's save file has at least 150 mons in the Pokédex.

    It's a blast to plow through a Gen I game at 4x speed and beat everything in an afternoon, especially when you can transfer a team over from a different game and have a custom team from early on. But this capability was taken away from Gen II games, probably in an attempt to keep things fair in the competitive scene back in the day. It's kind of a crappy limitation, so you should be aware of it before putting dozens of hours into unlocking Dodrio mode like I did.    … Expand

    Pretty much the only console pokemon game that I've really loved - it has a super fun set of battles that are legitimately challenging and are played out in a super entertaining way (especially given that move animations were so lacking in the handheld games when this came out).     This game improves on what Pokemon Stadium created and still delivers a little more functions like Academy that will teach cool strategies and more.
    The mini-games are better than ever.
    The variety of battles is somewhat the same but with 100 Pokemon more than the previous version, new types, new moves, it doesn't feel like a rehash of the previous version.

    Has all the charm of the first game but with 150 more pokemon! Graphics are great and mini games are a fun multiplayer mode.

    The better of the 2 stadium games.

    Best Pokemon game and 20 years later after billions of dollars in profit they somehow still haven't managed to beat this game (nor the first Stadium game!).

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Pokemon Stadium 2 does for Gen 2 what Pokemon Stadium did for Gen 1, and then adds a few more things.

    You still have mini-games where they made them even better, and the cups and gym leader castle to battle with terrible rental Pokemon. Bring your own Pokemon via the transfer pack again to stand a better chance, but you are stuck with Rental Pokemon that you cannot choose in the Challenge Cup.

    However due to the addition of new Pokemon in Gen 2, the final battle after clearing the cups and castle is no longer your whole team against Mewtwo, but with your Rival armed with by far the 3 most Powerful Pokemon of Gen 2 in Mewtwo, Lugia, and Ho-oh. Beat the Rival to unlock Round 2 that ends with confronting him again as the final battle in the game.

    The other big addition is the Pokemon Academy where you can learn the tricks and skills of the Pokemon battling trade. Overall a game that once again has something for everyone.    … Expand

    The extensive Pokedex and library reference guide are almost worth the price of admission alone. Add to that, the capability of the Transfer Pak to access Pokemon from the Game Boy versions and things really begin looking up.

    The Pokemon Academy section of the game was brilliant, and the mini-games are a lot more fun. What it boils down to is this: Did you play through Gold or Silver? Did you enjoy battling? If so, you will love this game. If you did not, pass.
