Jul 9, 2025GORN 2, at its core, is pure bloody gladiator fun. Outrageous doesn’t begin to describe the experience of its humor, gore, and cartoonish brutality. This is absolutely one that VR owners need to check out.
-
May 6, 2025More solid, more varied and sillier than ever, GORN 2 is the sequel that anyone who loved the first chapter must play. It doesn't invent anything new, it simply perfects and enriches every ingredient of the recipe that made its predecessor a cult. And that's fine.

Apr 17, 2025While it's ultimately a safer sequel that won't deliver any revolutionary changes, GORN 2 refines the existing premise well for a strong VR arena fighter that should please fans of the original. You won't need long to clear the campaign, the replayability isn't terribly strong, and there are some performance issues on Quest 3. Yet between its vibrant cel-shaded visual presentation, brutally hilarious combat and strong action, it's still a great time.

May 16, 2025Gorn 2 is a decent sequel that takes the simple fun from the first and evolves the formula with even more traps, power-ups, and a cast of crazy gods to battle against. Fans of the original are bound to eat it up, while those new to the series will find a compelling comedy brawler with buckets of charm and chum to spare.
-
Apr 18, 2025Gorn 2 offers substantially more gameplay than the original Gorn. The arenas, enemies, and environments offer enhanced opportunities for creative mayhem. The first game’s way-over-the-top stylized violence and gore transfer intact, along with its goofy sense of satire. If Gorn 2 was a non-VR first-person action game, it would work pretty well. As a VR title, the consistently inconsistent hitboxes and bugs undermine the potentially cathartic combat. Six years out from the first game, players should probably expect a more refined and polished experience.

Apr 17, 2025Gorn 2's story only takes a few hours to get through. After that, players are free to check out the Custom and Endless game modes, but that's more of the same shallow violence that the base game offers. VR enthusiasts are likely looking for something with more substance, but that's not to say there is no value to Gorn 2. The game can be fun in short bursts, and it works great as an easy way to show off virtual reality to someone who has never played a VR game before. Ultimately, those wanting more Gorn will get their money's worth with Gorn 2, while those who are looking for a deeper virtual reality experience will have to look elsewhere.
