Excellent: story (+for 1980's games pretty solid intro to JRPG saga)

Very good: main characters (at first plain but as story's unfolding you get attached to them; humorous moments, -others are forgetful) Good: gameplay (+bump system you like or not;I like it even it isn't precise exactly; it demands practice and skill especially at higher difficulties,-base enemies can be boring)

Bad: boss fights (+"brain cells" must be used -but some of them are irritating and demand bunch of luck)

Terrible: achievements (-most of them are unnecessary +but time attack completion feeling is awesome )

Summary: Very good old school JRPG game. Bump system fight plus tactic/luck boss fights mixed with good short story sustains this game. Recommended for JRPG fans and gamers who want a challenge (especially at higher difficulties). A graphic is little modified for better playing and resolution.

I can't see this lighting up the iOS sales charts, and I struggle to see how people without a wireless gamepad will be able to work through it, but otherwise, it's a decent, entertaining classic action JRPG to add to the collection.

The actual gameplay is generally intact, however, and that means Ys Chronicles 1 is a must-have for any mobile RPG fan.

A great mobile remastering of a classic RPG. If you like your quests obscure and your combat bouncy, there's a lot here to enjoy.
