And they shall know NO FEAR!

Warhammer 40,000: Lost Crusade is an online MMO strategy mobile game in which the player takes on the role of a Fleet Commander to wage war on all enemies within the Imperium Nihilus.

Lost Crusade brings Warhammer 40,000 to life for mobile players with stunning visuals and an immersive universe to explore. Keen tactics and skill are both required to master the grand strategy mechanics and real-time PVE combat featured in the first Warhammer 40,000 mobile game of its kind.

Despite a few somewhat interesting battle elements, Lost Crusade is let down by its strict adherence to the mobile base-building formula.

A standard mobile FREEMIUM experience, interesting for the first hour until you realize progression is gated, pushing you to spend real moneyA standard mobile FREEMIUM experience, interesting for the first hour until you realize progression is gated, pushing you to spend real money on lootboxes that unlock building materials and puzzle pieces used to unlock special characters. ALL UNLOCKS are timed out, meaning each new unlock takes longer than the last, the only way around this is to spend money. Spend 2 days building an army that you don't actually get to see on a battlefield, only to lose it when you attack another player, OR get raided while you are offline, and start all over again. Most of your time is spent travelling across space to farm resource nodes, or grinding the same mini dungeons to unlock more build materials. Enemy strength is deliberately scaled up after the first few levels to stop you progressing, and you are constantly bombarded with advertising or pop ups in game suggesting that you buy 'premium currency'. All in all, just another shameless mobile cash grab, except with a Warhammer 40k skin, I deleted my account and uninstalled after 10 days, wishing I had spent my time on something else, I highly suggest you avoid this title, unless you are a serial mobile gamer that enjoys spending real money in a fake world. I was really hoping for more from a GW endorsed game, but the game falls flat as a mobile game. Its far too complicated, making some PC titles blush at the amount of absurd rules and dice rolls. I think I could tolerate this amount of complication on a better device, but on a mobile platform it just fails. I've dropped at least 60$ so far on the game because I want to see the story through, however I can't because the more hardcore P2W ppl are busy throwing around lv 70+ maxed out hero's. There is no flag system to back out of the PvP which means your PvE force can be wiped out time and time again. I'm still going to try and "beat" the game, as I truly love the story, but I cant give a game like this any more than 2 stars. Expand
