One of the most emotionally intense games ever made. This game gets you emotionally invested in the first episode and from there ratchets up the tension and puts the groups safety in your hands. Voice acting is top notch and sound effects immerse you in the experience. Characters feel and act like real people and not just video game characters. The gameplay works perfectly for the game and helps keep the focus on the strong narrative and character interaction. This game is one of the biggest surprises this year. Before I had played this game, I was scoffing at the idea of this game being game of the year but after playing it through, i'm very happy my assumptions were wrong. The game is not just a "game"', it's an experience that makes you reflect on your decisions. Something rarely seen in games and I'm glad it is 2012's game of the year. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for more than just a "game". Here's hoping Telltales continues to make more emotionally driven story games!! Expand

While the Cel Shading suffers prom a lack of processing power, iOS Port is pretty solid. I prefer the touch screen controls to the keyboard or controller significantly. But the lack of power the iPad has accentuates the technical problems in the game to an even greater degree than PC, XBox or PS3, when they were already prevalent on those platforms. But the lack of power the iPad has accentuates the technical problems in the game to an even greater degree than PC, XBox or PS3, when they were already prevalent on those platforms. The story is really all the game has going for it, at the end of the day, sadly. It's a shame. The story is unbelievably emotional and taxing from a personal happiness point of view, but the jump scares and easy puzzles do little to aid the story. I think this kind of game would have been much better if given a Heavy Rain style of playing, as it suits the narrative more. Great port, but the game itself is it's own downfall. Expand

This is a classic Telltale game and does a great job of putting you in the shoes of a survivor of The Walking Dead, forcing you to make the difficult (and sometimes horrible) choices that you see characters make in the tv series. The story revolves around different characters than the tv series and is based on the comics but if you like The Walking Dead then you will like this!

******I suppose the year in which this game won the TGA GOTY award didn’t deliver too many masterpieces.

If you're fond of the franchise and want to play something that takes that source material seriously, and tells a great story while it does it, this game is definitely it. You seriously need to get this.
