    The game Thumb Drift was released over a year ago and became very popular with handheld tablet and phone users, eventually reaching over 10 million downloads. Thumb Drift is a straightforward car-drifting game that is surprisingly addicting and entertaining for being vastly simple and convenient.     The game Thumb Drift was released over a year ago and became very popular with handheld tablet and phone users, eventually reaching over 10 million downloads. Thumb Drift is a straightforward car-drifting game that is surprisingly addicting and entertaining for being vastly simple and convenient. Able to be played on-the-go, it can handily be downloaded on a smartphone. Similar to a miniature car drifting simulator, the car is controlled by just one finger (or thumb). To steer the car left, simply move a thumb to the right; sliding the rear of the car to the right and front of the car to the left. The main objective of the game is to beat a high score by drifting around obstacles for a longer amount of time until the control of the car is lost, causing a crash, and the game starts over.
    This game has many pros, one being, it is simple and convenient to play. For example, Thumb Drift can be played with a single finger or thumb. The game has a friendly default setup; it offers a first easy course and a tip-offering tutorial for first players. The speed of the car and difficulty of the course steadily increases over distance and time. Another pro is the game’s compact data size; it is small in megabytes, saving a phone’s storage for games, music and pictures. Similarly, it does not require cellular data or wifi and is easily affordable and accessible by being completely free from the app store; it won't “break the bank”.
    Even though Thumb Drift is simple, it does not become boring quickly. There is an abundant trail of coins on every detailed track which can be collected to buy new cars. There are over 50 unique cars to be collected throughout the game and six tracks containing exclusive scenery and obstacles. If that’s not enough, high scores can be shared through the app, challenging other players and friends!
    This game does have a couple cons when compared to other car games. Thumb Drift does not have an appealing story line or plot; it is a very raw drifting game. Not all cars are obtainable without swiping a credit card and paying real, green money. So, to have a cooler rig than other players, a few bucks might be spent.
    In conclusion, Thumb Drift is aimed towards individuals seeking a simple, fun, addicting game to play on the go. It has many pros benefiting the user in convenience, cost and simplicity. However, if a person is looking for a plot- filled, adrenaline rushing game, Thumb Drift is not the answer.    … Expand

    In truth, from where I’m sitting Thumb Drift is nearly perfect as far as fun little highscore chasers are concerned, and the central mechanic is just ridiculously fun and feels like butter.

    It’s satisfying to watch as your skills steadily improve, and its speedy nature means you’re sure to come back for more anytime you’ve got a few minutes spare. Even if it’s just to watch your crash test dummy character fly out of the car, as you hurtle into a barrier for the 100th time.
