Gameplay is limited to batting and simply requires you to time your shot to either off or leg but somehow this sucks you in. There is a joy in watching opposition feilders leap in the air as your six soars over their head.
You do also get to hire players - the games gives you a small budget and you can buy more. Any payment also removes the ads, but so far I have resisted. Star batmen give you slightly more leeway on your timing, star bowlers reduce the target you need to chase. Provide of course you remember to include them in the match squad.
There is a fixer who will ensure you get a reduced target to chase for a fee.
Each season is 7 league games, then if you are in the top four, a play off series leading to the final.
It is possible to win the league without spending real money - but it is hard work. It is very annoying if the cat dstracts you at the crucial moment and instead of hitting the winning run, you stumps get clattered.
