The fact this title is 100% save file compatible with the PC version (meaning the save from one plays EXACTLY the same on the other)...in and of itself is fantastic. The depth of game play is amazing and open. Content is awesome (they just released update #187 and version 3.09). Even the touch controls are very well done for the amount of options there are. Star Traders: Frontiers achieves what many games attempt and can't quite accomplish: naturalistic procedurally generated content, interconnected game systems, and strong narrative possibilities existing within the chaotic environment of said procedural generation.

An excellent sci-fi SRPG that will provide countless hours of fun once you get over its initially intimidating scope.

The Trese Brothers have done an excellent job porting this from PC, and none of its wonderful depth and complexity has been lost in translation. Like FTL, this feels as though it was made to be played on an iPad. Whether you decide to work as a trader, explorer, glorified taxi driver, or become a pirate yourself, the sheer scale and open-endedness of Star Traders: Frontiers is never less than inspiring.
