Slice is a sinister puzzle game for the iPad. The goal of the game is to clear layers of very sharp blades to push the open button. Push all the buttons in order and you win. While trying to open the puzzle you must not touch the sharp edges of the blades or you will get SLICED. When this happens, blood spills from your finger(s) onto the glass and the puzzle will reset. The blades only move in specific patterns that you must intuit by touch. Often you will have to use multiple fingers to hold blades open while you manipulate other blades with other fingers. This game is really about trying to figure out the hidden behaviors of the blades and moving the blades out of the way, carefully.

It's Twister meets pickup sticks meets Friday the 13th.

One of the most unique puzzle games you'll find on the App Store. Sure, it only lasts a couple of hours, but you'll have a blast. Just make sure to bring some virtual Band-Aids.

Slice HD is a devilishly sadistic combination of Operation and Twister that likes to mess with your brain. That being said, it's a brilliant use of the iPad screen, just not the greatest game on the app store.

It's extremely simple, you use some fingers to move blades and hold them down while you use one of your free fingers to push the red button in the center.

Speaking from the perspective of a college student who loves video games but has a decent amount of debt and thus can't spend money as often as they'd like...this game isn't worth the three dollars. It is however a fun enough game to have on your phone or iPod. So if $3 isn't a problem for you, maybe you should try it out. It's a good puzzle game, nothing more and nothing less. Take it for what you will, but don't expect it to be a favorite or a classic, just somewhat memorable or good to play while waiting at the doctor's office or in the bathroom for a bit.
