Jun 13, 2018There's nothing broken about Silverfish DX, it's just that once you've got to the point where you want, no need, something more, it doesn't deliver. You'll find some fast arcade fun here, but in the end it wears out its welcome a little too quickly to recommend it in the most wholehearted terms.

Jun 8, 2018I feel like my one complaint with Silverfish DX is that it’s kind of shallow because it is just that one game mode. It’s a good game mode, and it’s well-made. But, it’s still just an arcade high score chaser, and while surprises come in the form of enemies that you discover for the first time, you’ll get the gist of the experience rather quickly. It becomes about iteration and improvement on high scores. Perhaps you’ll love that, but just be aware of it when you’re coming in.

Jun 7, 2018The only thing wrong with Silverfish DX is that there’s already better and more varied versions of the same game out there. Specifically, Geometry Wars—a game that precedes Silverfish by nearly a decade—provides a similar experience in a more robust package. Silverfish DX just strips too many things out of a traditional twin-stick shooter and doesn’t add enough new stuff back to it to make itself stand out.
