Jul 1, 2013Samurai Shodown II is basically a straight port of a classic game to the iOS. It doesn’t do much to optimize the new hardware of current mobile devices and that’s where the title falls down a bit. It is nice to see an old cult classic still breathing and, in spite of those damn controls, Samurai Shodown II for the iOS is still a lot of nostalgic fun.
-
Jul 8, 2013The classic beat-em-up comes to iOS for the first time, but is hampered by control and difficulty issues.
-
Jul 2, 2013Samurai Shodown II could have been a fantastic arcade port, but it's held back by crummy controls and performance problems. It's still entertaining, but iOS 7's gamepad support can't come soon enough.
-
Jul 1, 2013While the original remains a classic, Samurai Shodown II for iOS is too glitchy and broken to really recommend.
-
Jul 5, 2013Until that system or something else suitable is incorporated in Samurai Shodown II though, you have a very pretty piece of videogame history that is probably best left to one of its re-releases on a console with physical controls, or if you have the cash, a real Neo Geo console.
-
Jul 16, 2013With these frustrating controls, you’ll prefer any other version of this ‘90s fighter.
