    It's so nice to have a proper roller coaster tycoon with the historical game systems but adapted to today's devices. You really feel the love of the game designers for the franchise. The visual aspect is not really impressive and the coaster builder still needs some love, but all the rest, my god, it's so smart. The progression pace is perfectly balanced, you are never forced to pay... butIt's so nice to have a proper roller coaster tycoon with the historical game systems but adapted to today's devices.     It's surely not the abomination that Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile was, but it's still not a great game either. I often wonder what exactly happened to this series. The first three entries were absolute gems, with Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 possibly being better than the first two.

I often wonder what exactly happened to this series. The first three entries were absolute gems, with Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 possibly being better than the first two.

    As of late, though, this series has seemed to crash and burn. I shouldn't have to tell you just how bad Rollercoaster Tycoon World is, and I'm honestly thinking they have abandoned that game altogether. Even worse than that was Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile, which there was never a RCT4, and if that was RCT4, then they needed to go back to the drawing board. It was a freemium abomination with poor graphics and shallow game mechanics, not to mention I kept glitching after the same part and unable to progress.

    This game; however, takes the freemium route as well, but makes a deeper game than RCT4M. The graphics are better, the game is deeper, and there is more selection. However, it's really hard to get immersed in it as none of the customers feel real. They don't have personalities and they just feel more like decoration than an integrated part of your theme park. It's also hard to play in long bursts unlike the first installments of the series because everything is so expensive and waiting times take a while. As always, you can buy extra money and stuff, but I choose not to do that route, especially since this game isn't really immersive. The new rollercoaster building mechanic isn't good either and that's a shame considering that's one of the major parts of this series. It often results in some weird looking rollercoasters that don't abide by the laws of physics.

    The verdict: it's okay, but it doesn't even approach the higher points in this series. It's an improvement over the last mobile Rollercoaster Tycoon game, but at the same time, that isn't really saying much because that game was a disaster. If you don't mind being nickel-and-dimed, you'll probably like this more than I did, but I can't help but wonder what happened to this beloved franchise. It isn't what it used to be.    … Expand

    Right after RollerCoaster Tycoon World was launched, I was very sad and disappointed about this game, and I even taught that the series was killed, until, surprisingly, Atari announced that a new game for mobile was coming, and I was very happy but at the same time worried about how this new game would be. Time passed, the RollerCoaster Tycoon Touch launched and I can not be more happierRight after RollerCoaster Tycoon World was launched, I was very sad and disappointed about this game, and I even taught that the series was killed, until, surprisingly, Atari announced that a new game for mobile was coming, and I was very happy but at the same time worried about how this new game would be. Time passed, the RollerCoaster Tycoon Touch launched and I can not be more happier than I am now, the game is funny, addictive, intuitive, has a great progression system that allow us to play normally the game without paying nothing, good graphics and wonderfull updates that makes the game even better day after day and I even don't like mobile games.
    RollerCoaster Tycoon Touch is a big apology from Atari for us fans and everyone should give a try at least one time. Thank You Atari, you made one thing right and keep It that way forever.    … Expand

    Fine but slows down later.

    At first I was really enjoying this game, it was exactly what I expected from a mobile version. The game did really start to slow down around LV 20, after that it becomes hard to progress for free, but the game lasted long enough and had enough free content before it starts to flatline that it didn't feel cheap or misleading.     The graphics were great and being able to draw your own roller coaster tracks was fun (even if a little buggy at times).

    While different versions of RollerCoaster Tycoon has been available for mobile for quite a while now, it’s never been as good as it is with RollerCoaster Tycoon Touch, the first iteration of the game that fully takes advantage of the capabilities of today’s mobile devices.
