This retro-inspired, stripped-down sports management game can compete with the best; an excellent new football game for mobile.

You get to simulate through an entire football season, play through football games and manage your team like a coach which is very fun. The only problems I thought this game had were that the roster (which is limited to 11-12 players even if you have the paid version of the game) felt very limiting and doesn't give a lot of room for having backup players on the roster, you also can't put coaching staff into the hall of fame, so when they're gone they're gone, only players. And the fact that you only get to play games on offence and can't play defence makes the game feel a little repetitive after playing a while. Otherwise, the game is great, you don't need the paid version to enjoy the game, (even if it has great benefits) and as much as I'd love to see a major update to the game where you could play defence or even online, the game is great as it is. I don’t really review (or play) mobile games that much, but I was intrigued after a friend brought it to my attention. This game is extremelyI don’t really review (or play) mobile games that much, but I was intrigued after a friend brought it to my attention. This game is extremely simple, but man is it addictive. After you spend 10 minutes getting yourself oriented, it’s really hard to put down for the next few days. The gameplay is really simple, but the addictive elements come in to the franchise/season mode layout of the game. It’s so easy to pick up and play, each round takes maybe 5-10 minutes, and each game you play adds to the dynasty of your team. There isn’t a lot else to say about the game itself, it’s just a blast. The first several hours are amazing, but what I noticed is that the long-term investment into the game dwindles after awhile because after awhile your team and your ability become so good, that the game starts to feel too easy even on the most difficult setting. There are a lot of attribute setups that break the game. But for what it is, there is a lot to be had. Maybe I’m expecting the complexity of Football Manager in this game, which is an error, as this is a simple and addictive pick up and play formula. Full Review »
