A solid third episode, able to keep players always interested although not introducing any new gameplay mechanics. Hope and République are really gearing up, and I cannot wait to know what Camouflaj is preparing for the grand finale.

Ones and Zeroes accelerates Republique's exploration of action and consequence by placing the player in a position of uncomfortable accountability, continuing to be an exemplary exhibition of touchscreen gaming.

The third installment in the Rèpublique series offers little in terms of innovation, but it’s probably the most engrossing episode thus far.

Mechanically it’s more of the same – which is to say that it’s a unique and deftly-constructed second-person stealth title.

It confounds me with slips of the tongue and leaves me wondering if what I’ve seen are the hidden gems of something like an X-Files or Fringe—shows whose truly great episodes are not self-contained but instead have effects that permeate and bleed through.

The overall storytelling of Episode 3 is the strongest so far. The ending especially strikes a chord, and has left me more intrigued for the next episode than any of the previous cliffhangers.

The strong plot of this third episode in the Republique series creates more room for emotional side stories. It poses relevant questions about the role of the gamer itself. The stealthy gameplay is not new, but it is easy and most of all: what you do does not have a lot of consequences, which sometimes sells the intriguing story short.
