Feb 15, 2017It's all a shame because I really want to like Red's Kingdom. I still like the concept, as sliding puzzle games are just collections of single-level vignettes, and this game transcends that. When you dig into it, and get going with the flow of the game, there's the spark of something brilliant and fun. And Red's Kingdom is gorgeous to look at it. But the flaws are deep, that it's tough to recommend despite its great looks and creative ideas.

Feb 2, 2017Red's Kingdom's individual components are all very familiar, but they're constructed in a way that I haven't really seen before. This makes playing it feel both fresh and comfortingly familiar. As a puzzle game, it's top-notch, and it just so happens to be a pretty great adventure game too. There's very little out there quite like Red's Kingdom, so you should go pick it up and try it for yourself.
