    Pokémon UNITE is a solid spin on the MOBA genre, but it feels like it should be more special.

    Pokemon Unite flashes moments of brilliance, and the battles always feel like they’re balanced on something of a knife edge. Is it perfect? No, some of the IAPs do feel a bit pay-to-win, and the roster of characters isn’t as expansive as MOBA fans might want. But when it works, boy does it work.

    - Connection problem. Often get lag even controlling your Pokemon is hard (for example, move joystick to left, but it still goes right) and reconnecting in the middle of a match.
    - Characters are unbalanced. Some melee attackers can kill you in a snap. You still have half of your health and one hit away to kill your opponent, then boom... you're dead.
    - Matchmaking is weird. After getting a good team and winning, chances are you will get a weak team in the next match.
    - Held items can be pay to win (and there's even a item that can boost them to max level).
    - I don't know what the cause of this. But there are times when you score a goal and the bar already full, but a second later an enemy approach and attacking you. Then your goal get cancelled. Is it lag or a bug?    … Full Review »

    As exciting as it was to see this game announced, it sadly didn't provide the competitive nature that most players hoped for. A majority of actions taken during the matches are futile considering one feature that takes place in the last two minutes decides most of the points earned in a match. Casually, the game is a fun time and is a good free to play experience with friends. Sadly, it was released with a competitive style in mind and didn't rise up to expectations.… Full Review »
