I have to admit I wasn't expecting much from this one. After playing Candy Crush Saga I was pretty sure this was just going to be another re-skin of other people's work. I'm pleasantly surprised to see that King has created a mobile game that isn't just your average match three or more puzzler.

I have to admit I wasn't expecting much from this one. After playing Candy Crush Saga I was pretty sure this was just going to be another re-skin of other people's work. I'm pleasantly surprised to see that King has created a mobile game that isn't just your average match three or more puzzler.

The whole point of the game is to remove colored blocks from the screen in order to get animal to the bottom. It's incredibly simple, but manages to add in new challenges every now and then. This is one of those mobile games that is sure to appeal to younger, more casual gamers thanks to it's cute theme and simple gameplay. I don't see many older people really getting too excited over anything gong on here, but they'll appreciate that it's well made. As with most free-to-play mobile games, the game does want you to use in-app purchases. Thankfully you can play the entire, seemingly-endless game without them. There are some frustrating levels, but overall this is a good to entertain kids with.

So while it's not the most impressive mobile game out there, it is fun. It's nice to see King create something original rather than just ripping off other developers work like they did with Candy Crush Saga. If you're looking for something to keep your kids busy on the go, or just want to play a decent puzzle game, then this should satisfy you even if it doesn't impress.

king's second repetitive saga game pet rescue saga was a follow up to the heavily overrated candy crush saga (go to candy crush saga to see my negative review, it's not that hard to find it there are not many negative reviews for candy crush) anyway back to pet rescue. it is nowhere near as successful as candy crush and just like candy crush it's a pitiful excuse for a iOS game.

Pet Rescue Saga (Free, Universal) delivers a brand new matching adventure that is even more enjoyable than Candy Crush, and is sure to provide hours of engagement making it such a worthwhile download.

That said, the game's presentation falls behind its counterparts, with music and imagery that seems a bit less magical than King's previous releases. This is ultimately a small knock on an otherwise addictive puzzler, one that'll keep players busy until their lives inevitably run dry.

Far from an unique title, Pet Rescue Saga is still a quite fun, if in-app purchase heavy, Match Three-style puzzle game.
