    Thought it was going to be another "Firewatch" waste of time. Slow start, but wow, what a finish. Do yourself a favor and play this. I've been playing games for 30 years, and this holds the intellectual merits of a great game.

    I... did not expect this game to be so amazing. I randomly bought it because I was feeling like trying something random, so I started it. I was not ready for what was about to hit me. The game threw me into this world and introduced me to the characters and backstory so well. I was intrigued so I kept playing and oh my god. After the main event happens, I was hooked. After the main event happens, I was hooked. I think me randomly downloading this game strengthened the overall experience, because it was so unexpected. The ending was absolutely amazing and bittersweet. After I finished it once, I immediately played it again to try and get a different ending. On my second playthrough, I could notice all the little hints and foreshadowing that was put in the game at the start.This game is astonishing, I will never forget it.… Expand

Interesting little game, for the atmosphere, artwork and story, but it is an irritating game with over-sentimental characters in their relationship to each other and hyper-realistic feelings and problems. It is not believable, at all.

It is not believable, at all.

    This is kind of like a soap opera game as a horror type adventure. Couldn't wait till it was over honestly. But occasionally the writing and setting were cool. I just wish it had focused on that more instead of the endless dreary teenager babbling the characters spouted near constantly.    … Expand

    great mystical thriller with: great atmosphere, beautiful graphics, mystery, interesting story. The downside is that the dialogues are hard to quickly choose (you yourself will understand what's what)

    Though it has some control issues, Oxenfree is really something special. It tells a unique story that's peppered with character moments that will stick with you. Seriously, don't pass this one up.

    There’s so much I enjoy about Oxenfree’s weird story, but to spoil it would be to ruin half the fun. Suffice it to say that if you like adventure games at all, you need to play Oxenfree. There are a few bumps along the way, but it’s absolutely a journey worth taking.

    I highly recommend picking up Oxenfree if you are a fan of supernatural themes and have not played the game before.
