Apr 26, 2018A shooter sometimes not legible, not enough focused on the action, and difficult controls. Too bad, Original Journey had potential, but many difficulties prevent really having fun shooting aliens.

Apr 26, 2018Original Journey is a twin-stick shooter-meets-platform game, with Tower Defense-style fixed guns and an upgrade system more reminiscent of a role-playing game. adly though its gameplay loop of shoot, loot, and retreat is just a tad too tight, rapidly feeling repetitive and restrictive.

Apr 26, 2018Admittedly, there’s something extremely compelling about engaging with a list of objectives in a game to get rewards, but all too often these progression mechanics are used to obscure or distract players from deeper, core design problems. This is precisely what Original Journey does, and it just doesn’t work.
