    There’s a lot worse stuff on the App Store than this, and even though it’s not really pushing endless runners forward or anything, it’s not a bad way to kill some idle time – and maybe the only way to pit athletes versus aliens, for what it’s worth.

    Although the gameplay is fun, what prevents this game from being better is that there is no end. You’re playing purely for high score.

    There’s a quirky kind of fun in dunking on UFOs, dribbling around explosions, and jumping into outer space for extra coins — but theme aside, NBA Rush brings little new to the saturated endless runner genre, and it’s too shallow to hold much long-term interest.

    Adding NBA players to a fairly unremarkable Endless Runner proves to be quite unexciting.

    Worst of all, for an endless runner there’s no sense of momentum – your avatar keeps a constant pace throughout and it lacks a sense of urgency.
