I absolutely adore this game. If you like adventure games, and if you like coming of age tales, stories with fun and quirky characters, a pretty cartoony art style, and soap opera plots intertwined through the game… then Mutazione is for you.

If I had read the synopsis and seen "soap opera" mentioned, I might not have bothered with the game, but it really works. The characters draw you

If I had read the synopsis and seen "soap opera" mentioned, I might not have bothered with the game, but it really works. The characters draw you in, and I became very engaged in their stories. It's a nice relaxing experience which didn't tax me, but was a fantastic way to unwind and relax in the evenings.

I love this game so much I intend to purchase it for the Nintendo Switch and replay it there, just because. And I'm now always on the look out for other similar games.

Mutazione is a very good game, one worth not just of some corner of the internet where becomes another obscure indie gem, no. One deserving of a spotlight. One deserving of a spotlight. The game takes you into its as one of its citizens, not some foreign explorer. And even though your face is blank, the protagonist still has as much personality as all the other people. The people are human(not literally) you can see into their minds, see them change, see them be them. The world is foreign and mystical, but everything else is as human as it can be. And the world, oh the world, it has its own in depth biology and fauna that isn’t shoved into your gullet, but it is observed as one observes cows and dandelions in real life. It’s intriguing, funny, and just all around great, and just because it doesn’t go wild with breaking stereotypes or game design, doesn’t mean that it should be left on the shelf. It is a story extremely well done, it is a world extremely well done. You live in the characters body. Expand

The game starts feeling like a traditional adventure game, but its conversation trees are mostly for flavor (like obvious influence Kentucky Route Zero) and its puzzles all revolve around amateur botany. It’s occasionally awkward to control, especially the lengthy plant encyclopedia that is inexplicably indexless. But for players looking for a unique interactive story, Mutazione should be your first stop on Arcade.
