    Monsters Rising is eccentric, repetitive, attractive, and fussy - often all at once. It's interesting and often enjoyable, but flawed.

    Monsters Rising’s heart seems to be in the right place, at first, but the sloppy crafstmanship, uninspired combat, and aggressive microtransactions in a game that already has an upfront cost all lead to this being a dissatisfying experience.
