    Too much grind!
The game is just like Magic Rush and Disney Heroes... make a team of 4 characters and fight enemies in a campaign mode. The variety is just getting to a good point, but the amount of grind needed to make only 4 characters really strong is unbearable. So few daily events, so few innovations, almost everything feels like a grind. Which is sad, with LOTR lore and a Magic Rush

The variety is just getting to a good point, but the amount of grind needed to make only 4 characters really strong is unbearable. So few daily events, so few innovations, almost everything feels like a grind. Which is sad, with LOTR lore and a Magic Rush like gameplay, this could be huge but it's not.
PvP mode is a little boring... yes mode, singular, and mostly the competitiveness comes from weekly "how much you spend" which you will never get top prizes unless you pay.

Edit 07/2018: Game feels abandoned by developers, no new modes or anything new at all besides characters, feels as this was what was developed since the beginning and after a small demand, they gave up and just released new characters for more money.

The idea behind the game is good, even if not really original, but the execution makes Middle-Earth: Shadow of War feel more of a cash cow than a coherent RPG.

The core of the gameplay is pretty good, but it gets repetitive and the in-app purchases, although not mandatory, end up showing up.

A great RPG that's full of surprises, Middle-earth: Shadow of War is far more than just a mobile tie-in
