This dungeon-crawler draws inspiration from Reigns. It’s an odd choice, but it really works.

I've been looking forward to Meteorfall for months, and I'm so glad that's finally arrived. The game is challenging and addictive, and holds a lot of replay value. Plus, the distinctive cartoon style visuals are delightful, and the sound design is excellent. Meteorfall is complex enough to require planning and strategy, but it's also quite accessible to anyone. This is definitely a game I'm keeping around for a while.

Meteorfall is exactly what you want from a single player card game. It's fun, it's deep, and it'll keep you coming back for more.

In terms of replay value, the random nature of the encounters and the initial difficulty means there is plenty into which to sink your teeth, and even if there never is another card or class or land added, it's going to be a while until you've beaten the Lich and exhausted all of the possibilities in Meteorfall. For just a few bucks, it's a fun alternative to most mobile card games that still happens to use cards, and it's a clever enough tweak to your expectations that it will almost certainly make you smile a few times between cursing out your deaths.

Even after the mobile release of acclaimed Slay the Spire, this game remains being my favourite roguelike card battler on mobile. InterfaceEven after the mobile release of acclaimed Slay the Spire, this game remains being my favourite roguelike card battler on mobile. Interface and gameplay are just perfect. To be able to play this simple on the surface, yet pretty complex game in portrait mode with one thumb only is another big plus! I‘m absolutely in love with the presentation and new content keeps coming in even years after its release. It‘s a true labor of love and a roguelike card game condensed to the very essence. One of my favourite go-to games of all time. Expand

The music is repetitive and doesn't even match the mood of the playing software.

And don't even get me started on the gameplay. It's so boring and repetitive that I found myself falling asleep while playing. The mechanics are confusing and the controls are clunky. The battles are a total mess and I couldn't even figure out what I was supposed to be doing half the time.

The storyline is just as bad. It's unoriginal and doesn't even make sense. The dialogue is poorly written and the characters are forgettable. I found myself skipping through the cutscenes just to get the playing software over with.

Save your money. Don’t buy this. Very shallow and broken gameplay. Difficulty gives an illusion of depth but the truth is the gameplay is dumbSave your money. Don’t buy this. Just mindless swiping and hoping for better luck next run. Expand
