May 25, 2012The puzzle platformer is well suited for the touchscreen. The controls are almost as intuitive as with the Wiimote and the use of air currents is still entertaining.
-
Feb 14, 2012The whole time I couldn't shake off the feeling that I was playing this game on the *wrong* platform.
-
Feb 6, 2012All in all, Lost Winds is a very enjoyable game and something that allows you to escape the chaos of the real word.
-
Jan 19, 2012A delicious experience every player should try. If you haven't tried the Wii version, its price on the iOS is a great opportunity to play one of those special games that only this digital downloads era has made possible.
-
Jan 18, 2012Despite a control schema not always keeping up and a little tricky, especially in Enril management, LostWinds is one of the most interesting platform games available in the App Store. Frontier's IP is a poetic balance of design, narrative and gameplay, an ageless fairy tale with an enchanted mood.
-
Jan 15, 2012The same beautiful, laidback 2D adventure as it's always been, but now almost ruined by fiddly and unresponsive touch controls.
-
Jan 10, 2012LostWinds provides a pretty graphic and a good atmosphere. If you love platforms, don't miss it!
-
Jan 10, 2012Like its WiiWare version, LostWinds represents a rare example of balance between digital poetry and gaming values, mood and fun. Unfortunately, this iOS edition shows some flaws in terms of controls but it's still a solid platform-adventure and an enjoyable little fable.

Dec 30, 2011While this version of LostWinds fails to live up to the lofty heights set by the 2008 WiiWare version, the game is all here and is just as visually pleasing on iOS.
-
Dec 28, 2011Despite its pretty visuals and engaging story, the swipe-based control method is simply too imprecise, causing a great deal of frustration that ultimately squelches our enjoyment.
-
Dec 28, 2011Lost Winds is such a delightful game in all other regards that I'm still enjoying it, but the controls have tested my patience.
-
Dec 21, 2011LostWinds is a very worthy purchase. It was relatively expensive for its length on the Wii but on the App Store, it fits in nicely. There may be limited replayability once completed, except for those desperate to collect all the Melodia Idols around the game, however the general ambience is warm and enjoyable. It's backed up by some neat wind based mechanics. LostWinds is a fine way to spend some time.
-
Dec 21, 2011Although short (anywhere up to four hours depending on how much you sidetrack), LostWinds makes up for it by not trying to pad the game with time-wasters and handing you plot almost as fast as you can handle it. The iOS version also boasts a collectable side-mission that unlocks 3D models, which can subsequently be used as an overlay for pictures in your library; it's not much, but at least it acknowledges the platform's social features.
-
Dec 21, 2011LostWinds is a wonderful treat, brimming with clever ideas and imaginative sights. It's just a massive shame that the controls took a big hit in the transition from Wii to iOS.
-
Dec 21, 2011LostWinds on iOS is a good game, but you can hardly tell because of the unresponsive controls.
-
Dec 21, 2011Its blend of beautiful graphics and sound, compelling platforming, challenging puzzles and of course the intuitive one-finger controls, makes it one not to miss, and a perfect way to round off a great year in iOS gaming.
