The gameplay is the same as the previous two games of finding hidden objects along with added mini games involving spotting the difference. New elements have been added. In some screens it’s now possible to pan left/right or move forward into another room to find a hidden object meaning finding hidden objects can every now and again take place in two screens. Some lists involve putting items back into their correct position or finding objects from silhouettes. Some screens need their environments manipulated in order to progress while entering some areas requires pictures to be taken via a camera. Vanished in Rome sets out to balance the difficulty better after its sequel began overly difficult and remained that way till the end. This game does a better job although it still suffers the same problems inherited by its predecessor which is the objects are too hard to find or the puzzles are too difficult to do without any hints. The story also isn’t as involving as the previous game’s one and ends rather abruptly. While it’s good to explore Italy again the game never reaches above mediocre and with better choices out there why spend money on mediocre?… Expand
