    A whole series of questions go through your head very quickly, but you don’t remember anything.

    At the end of the day, fans of immersive horror games will enjoy the fantastic cinematics of Hysteria Project 2. There's no question in my mind that this is the scariest game in the App Store, but it could be so much more.

    There is significantly more interactivity this time around, but at its core the game is still a Sega CD style FMV game, which means interactivity is limited to some puzzles and other touch-based mini-games. Unfortunately, these puzzles and mini-games really aren't much fun.

    Hysteria Project 2 is like that moment in a film where a cat jumps out of the dark, scaring a character while hissing before leaving the frame; it's short, it gets your adrenaline pumping, but you can't help but feel stupid for falling for the same trick again.

    Hysteria Project 2 has all of the elements needed for a great horror game: excellent sense of dread and panic, great atmospherics, and a good story. But it just bludgeons you with death scenes that constantly rip you out of the experience.

    It's a broken, laughable mess of a "game" and should be avoided at all costs. The scariest thing about it is trying to finish it. And you'll probably stop caring long before that.
