    Hyper Light Drifter is still an essential for any fan of pixel art games or action RPGs. I have a few problems with the difficulty spikes when there are too many enemies near you, but still adore this game. If you missed out on it on other platforms for whatever reason, the iOS port is an absolute steal even without the pre-order discount. I’d recommend playing this with a controller but Abylight Studios has done an excellent job with touch controls if you are going to play it on your iPhone. Over three years since the game debuted on PC and there really still is nothing like Hyper Light Drifter on any platform.

    Hyper Light Drifter on iOS is a wonderful conversion of one of the best indie games of the recent years.

    If you can play Hyper Light Drifter on another platform, then that might be the best way to experience it. If not, the mobile version is a solid alternative of an excellent game. It’s a must play either way.

    I’m glad that Hyper Light Drifter is on mobile, but it doesn’t exactly seem like a great fit. Between the slow ramp up and performance problems, it’s probably best to play this game elsewhere if you can. If you can’t, it’s still possible to enjoy the game on iOS. I did, but I probably would have had more fun with it on console or PC, assuming those versions don’t have similar issues.

    I’ve played this game on Xbox & Nintendo Switch. I purchased Hyper Light Drifter for my iPhone 12. No performance issues I can see. My issueI’ve played this game on Xbox & Nintendo Switch. I purchased Hyper Light Drifter for my iPhone 12. No performance issues I can see. My issue is why the 8 health? The other 2 versions I’ve played and played and beaten many times has 5 health. Why dumb this game down for iOS? I can’t play this version. How is this the original version? Am I missing something? I’ve heard it expressed before that Apple doesn’t respect gaming and thinks it’s something you do on your phone while using the toilet, this watering down a classic isn’t helping their case any. Very disappointed.… Expand
