There is enough open-world content, extraordinary music, light, not fancy but interesting enough elementary battle system. The story is just OK. The quality of the game is actually    It is not p2w!

There is enough open-world content, extraordinary music, light, not fancy but interesting enough elementary battle system. The story is just OK. The quality of the game is actually increasing as you move from the first main city to the second one. So if you feel a bit tired after the first one or two days, I would recommend you to keep playing for a while.

    About the gacha system:
    In the single-player gameplay, you won't encounter any pay-wall where you have to pay to overcome the difficulty. And if you are not interested in online content you can simply leave the game until the next main story update. But of course, having more characters will create more variety in your combo and bring more fun. However, the drop rate is relatively low so I would recommend either you stay F2P (monthly card), or invest at least 150$ and use them in the correct banner.

    This game in general is ground-breaking in the area of gacha games. It annoies both the cellphone game producer as well as cellphone platforms in China (because Mihoyo refuses to accept their crazy 50% profit sharing rule).     So far I am enjoying this game. I love the story line. You get to change characters which is awesome. We get an option to change voice language (amazing) and text language. So you can separate two languages. Character design is cute. One thing is inconvenient is that we do not get to autorun to a quest location. Lastly, I know they have monthly pass.     Simplesmente o melhor RPG mobile de mundo aberto, a dificuldade é normal, os personagens são todos carismáticos, o mundo é grande e lindo, a história interessante.
    Não achei nenhum bug, não tive problemas de desempenho graves e ele não é P2W.

    I am aware of the reasons people have to dislike this game, and I personally think they are petty or downright sad. One is the monetization system. I have never spent any money in this game, and I have not only acquired the six characters you get for free, but gained three awesome characters through the gacha system. I expect that by the time I use up all of the free opportunities the game gives you, I will have at least a couple more characters. But even that isn't necessary. If you're paying hundreds of dollars to acquire one specific character, and you get upset at the odds you face, that's really all on you. The monetization system is not in your face at all.

    The other flaw people bring up is the end game resin system, which "limits" your daily gameplay. I personally will never experience this flaw, because of the way I take my time with the game. Even the four daily missions, which don't take any resin, take me over an hour to complete because I am constantly discovering interesting details and challenges on the way. I've been playing an hour a day since day one, and I'm not even halfway through the main story, which will be massively expanding as time goes on. I guess this game is meant for players like me, rather than people who are utterly task-oriented. Me, I'm just trying to enjoy this incredible free game. The other day, I walked across the map to Liyue Harbor just to explore and talk to NPCs on the way. Every little dialogue is well written and that harbor is fun to walk around in without any quest or goal in mind. This is why I feel bad for people who get frustrated at the endgame. I don't think they are appreciating what they have in front of them. What is even the point of playing just for the purpose of upgrading your character's stats? Do those stats help you have fun in any way? Is that just the default way you orient yourself in life, for no reason? There's enough customization and optimization at play without needing to constantly "level up". That said, Mihoyo is looking into changing the resin system, so it won't matter soon.    … Expand

    The main thing I would suggest everyone who start playing it - DO NOT FOLLOW GUIDES!
    Of course, you can collect all the anemo(geo)culuses and the chests in 1-2 days, but you won't feel satisfaction after!     The game is just great. Especially if you don't forget that it's free! I just sympathize with all the disgruntled critics who sit there for days trying to collect all the characters and spending thousands of dollars. You have clearly forgotten what it is to play and enjoy.

    Solid game. I see all these complaints about "pay to win" but if you actually play the game, you will know that any character in this game can carry you through the end game. Plus you get a generous amount of pulls for free which means you will likely get more characters to help you along the way.

    The storyline focusing on the twins traveler who arrives tayvet attacked by the goddess and her/his sibling has been captured. So that he has to find her sibling and wandering in town to town to find the clue.
    The most attractive thing about this game is the elemental fusion. Each character has their element and some of them come with the skill that utilizes the element easily. The elemental fusion amplifies big damage. For example, put a fire on enemies then following with the hydro skill will cause a vaporize which can do a lot more damage than usual. So the player tries to build another character to make a combo.
    This game is all free but it’s the gacha game so that means everything is on your luck. The highest rarity is 5-star character and 5-star weapon which only get it from the gacha and unfortunately, the rate for 5 stars is only 0.6 percent. That was incredibly low. Anyways the game can not be that cruel they guarantee that you will get the 5 stars for sure when you reach the 90th rolls.    … Expand

    pros:
    - it's free - nice graphics - interesting plot - frequent updating - various events minuses: - people paying real money have an advantage. after 9 months of playing I am able to do what whales do after 2. - the game is constantly evolving, but it's easy to just do everything that is available at a given moment and suddenly the game becomes boring    great game in my opinion

    minuses:
    - people paying real money have an advantage. after 9 months of playing I am able to do what whales do after 2.
    - the game is constantly evolving, but it's easy to just do everything that is available at a given moment and suddenly the game becomes boring (I note that a year ago the game gave a whopping 25 hours of play, now it is enough for twice as much, so the perspective changes depending on when it started to play)
    - AR lv, after reaching level 50, there is no difference if you have 55 or 60. zero significant rewards for reaching level 55 or 60, which is not easy.
    - 5 star weapons are beyond the reach of FvP players

    People complaining that the game is unfair and unless you pay real money you cannot compete with whales, they probably played a different game. You can easily do everything only with a team consisting of a 4-star character. it just takes more time to get it.

This game does have temples and dungeons delimited by level. Tower system to discover points of interest. Battles against huge bosses (dragons, giants, ancient machines ...). Various fighting modes not only sword or bow (also spears, melee, elemental magic and arcane magic, ...). The same game account and advance can be used on IOS, Android and PC account, but not on PS4

    The bad:
    The abusive gacha, if you want to have stronger characters without being farming or leveling you have to put money into the game and advocate your luck so that the rolls give you something minimally useful (a character or a weapon that you want, but it falls into the totally random , being able to leave anything moderately useful or garbage). It is a Pay to Fast-Advance, Pay to craving (pay to advance faster), Pay to Waifu (pay to have a certain character sooner).     The first ~30h was really solid, if you enjoyed the exploration of BotW you’ll definitely enjoy these hours. However, once you’ve explored the whole map, there’s not much left for you to do.

    IMO the best way to play Genshin is to explore everything and then wait for the next map updates (maybe every 4-6 months?).

    As a mobile game it is by far the most advanced game.This is sad that in 2020 a random chinese game is the only proper game we have. Playing on ipad pro 11 , it going smoothly at 60 fps.     Good game. Interesting story campaign and lore. Well crafted gameplay. Gacha and donation are present, but this will not greatly affect your gameplay. Everything is based on random loot from dungeons and correct leveling of characters.

    This free-to-play game impressed me by the moment the very first time I see the graphics, and how it feels like a AAA free-to-play live service Style game, and yes it's a gacha mobile title with microtransactions and wishes: and it also can be played on PC as well, which is also impressive and disturbing at the same time; still a great free-to-play game

    I really do not like anime stuff, I think it tends to be cliche. This game really surprised me, I went in very skeptical, expecting to the game to be a vehicle for lootbox characters. And it was, but what surprised me was that the heart of the game was actually in the world and the gameplay. The story is also just terrible. An interesting concept executed horribly, I mean HORRIBLY. Do not play this game if you are looking for a story which will challenge or engage you. Drop rates for artifacts are also disgusting. At some point this game feels like a chore. And just like any other Gacha game without PvP, once you reach a certain point, there’s nothing to do. The events, which are meant to fill this gap, are oftentimes uninspired or just straight up BORING. NO ONE wants a Hypostatis event.     Pros :

    - The graphic style is nice, it looks well-made and clean
    - World design is pretty good, towns, small villages, ruins, cliffs, hills and including all the small puzzles, it is good for exploring and treasure hunting

    - Music in this game is so good, some of them are relaxing, some are very energetic (mostly of the combat music)

    - Voice acting (I used JP voice) is top-notch, almost all story content and a few side stories is fully-voiced

    - There's cooking and book-collecting for those who loves this kind of collectibles

    Cons :
    - Combat is shallow, it's basically spam attack, use skills, switch chara, use skill, spam attack. Elemental reaction system is meh. It doesn't add any depths whatsoever because it is almost always benefitting the player, making the fight easily forgettable and uninteresting.

    - Sound effect of the attack and the animation of character's attack is meh. Bear in mind there's NO COMBO related in this game, unlike its predecessor, which has ALMOST the same mechanic with character switching combat style. So the all character has only normal attacks with 2 skills. That's it.

    - Mob AI is awful and slow, the mobs in this game is so uninteresting, some of them just walk beside you, idling for 5-10 seconds begging to get hit, even some of the mini-boss AI is just terrible

    - There is no real difficulty, even the bosses pattern are too easy to predict, some of them have 'special condition' to be defeated, but even most of it are basically just attack what's appearing until it's dead

    - Exploration in this game is abysmally unrewarding. There's a certain occasion when you have to explore a different locations (which is far away) to be able to solve a puzzle, after all that effort you're doing, you're just rewarded with : a few in-game currencies that you can spend in 15 seconds, a few equipment that is not any better than what you have by the time you reach that reward and a 3-4 items to level-up your character, which can only increase 5% of your character's level by the time you get the reward

    - Achievement system is abysmally unrewarding. Imagine exploring nooks and crannies of the world, getting all possible collectibles, and what you get is 'congratulations, here, 5 premium currencies' and a dull name card.

    - Wish (gacha) system is so expensive, and the resource to make the wish depletes so quickly as you progress through the game. It costs you 160 Primogems for 1 Wish. Even Achievement only give you 5, a few chests and missions give you 30. Note that the Primogems from chest DOES NOT respawn, and the story missions and quests are VERY SHORT as of this review is dropped.

    - Wish (gacha) rate is abysmal. You need to be VERY LUCKY to pull a 5* on this game, the rate even lower than most of other mobile gacha game. You want that one 5* character? If you're F2P, you must save-up for a few months to be able to guaranteed the pull. If you're gonna spend money, prepare to spend hundreds of dollars to add that character to your team.

    - Stamina system is more of a burden than a feature. You want to explore? Prepare to eat some food or your character can't even run for 15 seconds. You want to climb that cliff? Prepare to climb REALLY SLOW or you won't reach the top.

    - RESIN system is abysmal, terrible, and hindered progression to the point where you only spend 10 minutes a day to play this game. Resin is an Energy system that's implemented in domains, where you farm for artifacts / materials to ascend your weapon or character. The problem is, most of the items that needed to ascend your character are dropped from bosses, which cost 40 Resin for you to be able to get the reward after defeating the boss. You only get 120 Resin, which equals to 3 bosses, and those 120 Resin takes 20 HOURS to fully recharge. On top of that, even though you managed to level-up and ascend your character and weapon, good artifacts is needed to make the character viable to be played on the higher difficulty. This system only hindering progression and lessening the fun to the point of it doesn't get enjoyable anymore.

    The game has potential, but it has to undergo MASSIVE overhaul to able to be mediocre at least. As of now, I personally don't want to invest any more of my time to this game, oh wait, I can only play for 10 minutes a day, but even then, this game doesn't deserve my 10 minutes as of now.    … Expand

    Since hitting the resin cap means you are passively missing out on resin, the system basically forces players to login and use some resin every day if they don't want to be left behind.

    In forcing this to become a routine and then by providing daily unsatisfying gameplay (you barely get to play for about 30-40 minutes max each day) it forces players to either abandon the game or come back the next day for a few minutes in hopes of actually achieving some progress.

    It's the worst kind of predatory game and I really want to congratulate the "journalists) that played it for 2-4 hours then gave it a 9/10 and ensured that a **** of people are exposed to these practices. Stay classy IGN and please drop dead already, nobody respects you, you are the butt of jokes.

    Don't play this **** unless you have way too much money to spend. Even then you will still be forced to only play for a limited time but you can push the limits a bit further with paid currency. The game is unrewarding and frustrating by design to psychologically manipulate you.

    "It's just a gacha game" is not an excuse for it to be actively trying to program people into addicts.     Rewards    Nothing is free. For this game, the price is even more than you think. It starts out as a fun single player game, but continue on and you will it consistently restrict you in order to frustrate you until you decide to either give up or pay it money. And it wants a disturbingly huge money; maxing a single character can cost approx. 2.5k USD, due to how the dev set up the system.

    Rewards are mostly paltry and stingy; most of the time you are only rewarded with Mora (the money in the game). Primos (which is the premium in game currency you can buy with real world money) are given out sparingly in useless small amount or none at all. Same goes to the other materials; the resource pool in this game is too much; characters need experience book (because you get less than 100 exp doing anything else in the world), your weapons need ores to upgrade level, you character's talents/skills also need talent books to be upgraded, both your character and weapons need another round of materials to ascend (because levels are gated) AND there are no other way to increase your character's constellation other than trying your luck in their wish aka gacha system, which accepts real world money, turning it into a gambling machine. This kind of predatory method have been proven to work, and the devs seeks to challenge themselves on how they can take this further. The amount of resources needed are absurd, and you need approx. 12 days to level a newly received characters to be able to use them (due to constantly being restrictred by the devs). Do note that you can speed up all of this by giving them an absurd amount of real money, for a single character.

    Most of the mentioned materials are also restricted from being obtained via the resin system. I don't understand when one of the reviewer from a well-known site state this system is positive for stopping the players from playing to much and promote them to do other things. Why is there no system to stop players from spending too much then? Because it's their money and they can spend however they want? Then how come players can't spend their time however they want, farming for the materials that is required in an absurd amount? The material drops and the artifact's attributes/stats were purposely made to be both horrendously low and terrible (6 out 6 artifacts will be plagued with def% only stats), requiring players to keep repeating it to get what they need, only they can't; the resin system limits what they can do. You can increase it slightly by paying them money (of course). Despite the constant complains, the devs refuse to make any major changes, only giving scarps to placate the rioters (increasing resin to 160 is only so that players don't need to login twice per day to complete BP task), because they are adamant to sell resin in exchange for money; the leak on the CN Playstation Store was done on purpose to gauge reaction. How is it possible that they didn't think there will be backlash is mindboggling.

    I also like to point out that the devs are much more competent in finding ways to restrict players to ask for money instead of fixing bugs or implementing QoL improvement; Hu Tao, a character in the game (yet to be released at the time of writing), was initially a 4* character, aka, not super rare. However after realizing that she became popular before even being released, the devs decided to make her a 5* character. Not because her gameplay kit warrant her to be a 5*, but because they wanted to milk her for profit as much as possible, and making her harder to obtain will lower the rate to obtain her, frustrating her fans to the point they may eventually have to pay more than her worth just to get her. It should be noted that the gacha rate in this game superbly low, and the pool are also huge, so the chances of you getting what you want are also low. You don't just need pay money; you need to pay a ridiculously high amount for it.

    The game mostly pander to fan's fetish, hence the absurd amount of obtainable characters that can only be obtained by gachaing or gambling. As of right now, other than the starter set you received, there are no other ways to increase your character's constellation other than relying on the gacha/gambling system. The consolation rewards for getting dupes from gambling/gachaing are given out in small amount, just like everything else. Lore wise, Paimon is your only companions; nobody else follows you on your adventure, so all those things you read as if they're talking to you while on your journey? Yeah, doesn't happen. You can't even find them in the world unless you're doing their personal quest, and right mostly only the 5* characters have personal quest. This is done mostly to bait you into gachaing/gambling for them. I have yet to see most of the other characters appearing in the story, yet they are already in the gacha pool.

They're all looking cool with nice animations and abilities. All of them give us another felt of playing game and exploring the world. But only what devOps doing is just adding casino...

    I don't understand why people don't see what this game really is. It's just a bad copy of Zelda. It has no mobile optimisation, needs way too much disk space, needs to be connected at any time (it is completely stupid for a mainly single-player game) and, on top of that, it has a dumb pay to win gacha. Don't waste time and money with this thing and simply play another game.

    The last few updates are just a mess of **** and urine pouring into the open mouths of the community. The characters are useless and unplayable, the plot does not normally reveal the characters, they feel plastic and faceless. The game is slowly dying for me

Graphics are good (ish), but the microtransactions are nuts, 30 dollars to "pull" a character, who 1/30 times will be **** and youll have either wasted money, time or both, gameplay isnt good either, mostly just run from here to there, kill this non difficult or thought provoking boss and get the thing, then run back to quest giver, adventure rank also is a annoying, because after level 20, the game slows to a snails pace.     You can play without paying but starting with Adventurer Rank 30 you need 8 Leveld Characters to progress through the Dungeons. And with those Gacha rates getting a Team like that is pretty costly. (Free    Gameplay is fun, but the Gacha Rates are horrendous, need to spend about ~300$ to get a (Guaranteed) 5 Star Character and then you just need to get it 7 more times to fully level up...

    The resin system is a paywall that they don't make obvious until 100+ hours in. I was having a blast until the game basically told me to fms because I didn't have enough resin. But fear not.. you can BUY resin with real money! Ridiculous.

    It's terrible that a pay to win game like this comes along and tries to ride the legendary wave that is BotW. Shameless appropriation and not well done at that. Game is unable to sustain the level of fun for very long, even at early stages, because it is rather bland. You're better off playing BotW again.

I thought this was an accident, so I purchased it again. On the store, the purchase showed the 'first time bonus' as if nothing was ever purchased.     Whatever your preconceptions may be about a free-to-play gacha game made in China it’s nothing short of stunning, presenting you with a sprawling Zelda-esque open world to explore, the green grass and blue skies looking beautiful thanks to console-grade production values. Even the monetisation isn’t too in-your-face, although it does eventually start to get a bit grindy in the late game. Genshin Impact is easily the most accomplished and alluring Zelda-alike available for mobiles, easily outstripping paid-for rival Oceanhorn and its sequel.

    Genshin Impact is easily the most impressive free-to-play game on mobile. It offers such a rich world that rivals those of ambitious console and PC games while pacing its content such that mini play sessions using touch controls feel satisfying and worthwhile. There's nothing about Genshin Impact's business model that is new or praiseworthy, but it thankfully doesn't get in the way of enjoying what is otherwise a legitimately amazing open-world adventure.

    Genshin Impact is an amazing open-world adventure that draws heavily on both its Breath of the Wild and anime inspirations to create something truly special. Even if the gacha model introduces some undesirable level grinding deeper in, the excellent combat, addictive exploration, and beautiful world make this one of the most exciting games I've played all year.
