    I really do not like anime stuff, I think it tends to be cliche. This game really surprised me, I went in very skeptical, expecting to the game to be a vehicle for lootbox characters. And it was, but what surprised me was that the heart of the game was actually in the world and the gameplay. It offers a world that is genuinely fun to explore, and the rapid character swapping creates aI really do not like anime stuff, I think it tends to be cliche. This game really surprised me, I went in very skeptical, expecting to the game to be a vehicle for lootbox characters. It offers a world that is genuinely fun to explore, and the rapid character swapping creates a really interesting and dynamic combat system that you are always adjusting. I played all the way to the end of the release content before i had my fill, and I haven't been back.     The base game seems pretty well made and the open world is very good. However, it's still a predatory gacha game that prays on your money and will often end up forcing you to spend way more than you'd spend on any AAA game just to progress, and the abundance of child characters in questionable clothing really drove me away as well

    Too much stress on login bonuses, moving around, etc. The nasty aggressive followers that surround this are not good either.

    Toxic community, Characters not worth pulling, company is too stingy.

    If you don't spend money you will get disapointed.

    They still haven't fixed Monas C1 after 2 years. The devs don't care about bugs unless they reduce their profit. Just shows how much the devs don't care about the game or the community.

Graphics are good (ish), but the microtransactions are nuts, 30 dollars to "pull" a character, who 1/30 times will be **** and youll have either wasted money, time or both, gameplay isnt good either, mostly just run from here to there, kill this non difficult or thought provoking boss and get the thing, then run back to quest giver, adventure rank also is a annoying, because after level 20, the game slows to a snails pace.     I really like the view in the game, especially the cooking part. I think it could be more complicated for the cooking so it could be more fun. The only disadvantage of this game is it occupies too many space.

But if the game intends to keep players playing then it should make the time worth spending and not griding artifact domains.… Expand

    pros:
    - it's free - nice graphics - interesting plot - frequent updating - various events minuses: - people paying real money have an advantage. after 9 months of playing I am able to do what whales do after 2. - the game is constantly evolving, but it's easy to just do everything that is available at a given moment and suddenly the game becomes boring    great game in my opinion

    minuses:
    - people paying real money have an advantage. after 9 months of playing I am able to do what whales do after 2.
    - the game is constantly evolving, but it's easy to just do everything that is available at a given moment and suddenly the game becomes boring (I note that a year ago the game gave a whopping 25 hours of play, now it is enough for twice as much, so the perspective changes depending on when it started to play)
    - AR lv, after reaching level 50, there is no difference if you have 55 or 60. zero significant rewards for reaching level 55 or 60, which is not easy.
    - 5 star weapons are beyond the reach of FvP players

    People complaining that the game is unfair and unless you pay real money you cannot compete with whales, they probably played a different game. You can easily do everything only with a team consisting of a 4-star character. it just takes more time to get it.

    gatcha system, it works like in any game of this type, people are greedy, they want every character, unfortunately without paying it is necessary to think what character they want, what they need and focus on those few.

    I have never seen such a massive disappointment of a game that fails at everything get so popular, this is probably one of the most overhyped games ever. The developers were lucky enough to combine world exploration with gacha isekai story and they failed horribly at both.

    The gacha is mediocre at best, some of the lowest rates and highest pity I've seen in all gachas, on top of that you have 50% chance to miss the banner character, combined with every banner limited and standard banner being a literal waste / trashcan where you can drop your free pulls. It's literally a slot machine on a strict timer before it explodes and you won't be able to pull on a character you wanted for like 6 months or more. The materials you get for dupes and pulls can be spent on 2 useful things every month, nothing else is worth it.

    The only good thing is guaranteed banner 5* on second 5* pull, but I think that this makes the gacha lose it's spirit and basically slapping a price sign on every character. Unfortunately you will have to spend most of if not all 160 pulls to get to that guaranteed part, for a F2P player this is very damaging, it takes multiple months to save up for just for one 5* so you might end up pulling only one character you wanted every 5-6 months, this happened to me. And even if you are a low budget player you will still struggle greatly but you may cut the time by one month, I don't recommend buying anything other than the monthly card (!! be very careful with the monthly card, if you don't log in for a day the primogems for that day will be gone (basically you are paying to log in every day !!) ).

    The constellation system is a huge whale bait, basically requiring you to pull the same character multiple times to be useful or up to 5x more powerful. WEAPON BANNER oh god don't let me even get started on that, even if the cost of it was decreased by half it would be still horrible, It's insane that a 5* stat stick will require as many pulls as a full character. People saying that this game is not pay to win are either high on copium or didn't play the game enough.

    Ah yes the "world exporation isakai" bleuugh.. It's sad to see so many people get baited by this because it's one of the most popular things, the escapism, being reborn in a fantasy world. Too bad this is one of the weakest fantasy worlds you will ever see, the story is so bad that people care more about the cooking system.... World exploration is only good for the first time after that it becomes annoying and repetitive, just like 90% of the enemies. Even new zones are just copy paste of the old ones to the point that new zones don't even count as new.

    The endgame is non-existent, the powercreep is getting worse and worse, every 4* character is getting replaced by a 5*. The enemies are getting more and more annoying, jumping all over the place, teleporting and flying, while you have very limited movement and stamina, It's like they are forcing you to either use characters that do more damage or characters that are easier to use, eliminating even more skill that's needed to play this mess, like the auto-aim on everything wasn't enough.

    Not even gonna mention how the developer and the community behaves, you have probably seen it all anyways, I'm just wondering how people can completely ignore all this and continue to support this mess, even if you like the game a lot, the community and developer will make you hate it.    … Expand

    Genshin is a massive Whalebait going as far as offering you 5x the damage on a character if you spend "few hundreds of dollars". It's insane how pay to win the "game" is, every F2P player will never see themselves as powerful as a small whale even if they played for years more. This is because 5* characters and weapons are always better (with very few exceptions) on top of the the constellations are a huge pay wall behind which could be even half of character's kit locked behind and the only thing to access it is pay pay pay. 5* weapons are just stat sticks, constellations are only improving that, they add nothing new. It's unbelievable how greedy this company is, many players were able to see it soon, thank god, thanks to recent outrage many people are waking up to it, still 12 y.o. fanboys will be forever lost.

    Don't waste your time grinding this "game". The plot is absolute trash and moves at very slow pace. Genshin has no endgame and you will only grind the same things for years to come until they add another resource or upgrade material to chase for the next few months until you have enough.
    The "game" has only gotten worse since the launch, only doing the same thing over and over until mihoyo wakes up and remembers we still exist, they abandoned the community in favour of advertising and promoting their mess of a "game". Going as far as to beg artists, content creators and even cooks to promote them, even begging Elon to hype them up so that they could shaft even more unknowing people into their predatory monetization hellhole.
    You also may see a lot of players defend this "game" they have no idea what they are doing, hopefully they will see before they will lose too much money and time on this like me.

    This "game" is only a money making machine, just watch them throw it away when the hype around it dies down. They are already giving up on it, you can see it from recycled events, severe lack of content and them not listening to anything players say, going as far to delete and ignore people's feedback, It's everywhere, just look it up.

    If you want a better gacha that didn't copy everything from others go play Fate/Go, Azur Lane or Arknights those are much better in every sense. Or go play Zelda from which this "game" took everything and slapped monopoly on top of it.    … Expand

For a reminder we got more or less the SAME EXACT THING! If not a little more. Now when compared to the monumental support Genshin gets we as fans should've gotten more. Not only that, they choose to ignore, silence or BAN fan complaints or criticism because they feel like they are just. They took away signatures in the game, they banned people in discord, and they banned people on reddit as well solely because fans are upset with the lackluster and frankly lazy rewards. They have wasted almost 10 million dollars or anniversary emojis on Twitter; mind you we basically got rerun rewards in game though. Their customers support recently has abysmal with auto-generated replies, when we used to get genuine response. The recent events have been boring, unengaging and uninnovative. To top it off character design and structure. The characters they've made recently have had major issues that the community have tried to tell MiHoYo about but they refuse to listen. Yomiya internal cool downs, Baal not paring with Beidou, and Kokomi as a whole character is so greatly flawed. Please do not play this game until the game state is fixed. I am being completely honest as someone who has played a year, do not play this until it MiHoYo fix their stuff. I'm done supporting them as well until everything is fixed.… Expand

    Essentially just a casino for children. Colourful characters, some great exploration and music, coupled with barely legal predatory monetisation.

    Recent character releases have been unfinished and buggy, the writing sketchy at best, and the recent anniversary debacle shows just how checked out the company is.

    The last few updates are just a mess of **** and urine pouring into the open mouths of the community. The characters are useless and unplayable, the plot does not normally reveal the characters, they feel plastic and faceless. The game is slowly dying for me

    Buen juego pero muy mal aprovechado el mundo abierto con mecánicas o precios un poco abusivas y caros, mas de un año jugando y perdí mi tiempo y esperanza por cambios que mejorasen el propio juego pero unas recompensas de mierda para una fecha tan importante como el 1 aniversario fue la copa que rebaso el vaso.

Still after awhile the game itself became stale and boring, everything just repeated itself and somehow there is still no actual endgame content after 1 year.

Don't even bother to do in-game survey, they mean nothing too. Many under-performance characters and bugs didn't get fixed/buffed after tons of patches and player's suggestions.     Whatever your preconceptions may be about a free-to-play gacha game made in China it’s nothing short of stunning, presenting you with a sprawling Zelda-esque open world to explore, the green grass and blue skies looking beautiful thanks to console-grade production values. Even the monetisation isn’t too in-your-face, although it does eventually start to get a bit grindy in the late game. Genshin Impact is easily the most accomplished and alluring Zelda-alike available for mobiles, easily outstripping paid-for rival Oceanhorn and its sequel.

    Genshin Impact is easily the most impressive free-to-play game on mobile. It offers such a rich world that rivals those of ambitious console and PC games while pacing its content such that mini play sessions using touch controls feel satisfying and worthwhile. There's nothing about Genshin Impact's business model that is new or praiseworthy, but it thankfully doesn't get in the way of enjoying what is otherwise a legitimately amazing open-world adventure.

    Genshin Impact is an amazing open-world adventure that draws heavily on both its Breath of the Wild and anime inspirations to create something truly special. Even if the gacha model introduces some undesirable level grinding deeper in, the excellent combat, addictive exploration, and beautiful world make this one of the most exciting games I've played all year.
