I expected more....graphics are not inviting. Many people people expect the green cloth background as on a table. Animation and sounds are dull. I still give it 2 points for the efforts of trying, but there is no reason that this would beat the classic game cards.

Many may dismiss Flipflop Solitaire as yet another solitaire game but happily it is possible to find sparks of genius in the most mundane of places. If you have no interest in Solitaire then this isn’t going to change your mind, it may also struggle to attract a casual audience, as it is a barebones app with no gimmicky mascots or tacked-on theme. For players familiar with the traditional version there will initially a bit of a learning curve as your brain gets accustomed to the demands of taking a more flexible approach. However, the effort is well worth it, so download it for free; you have nothing to lose - apart from hours of your life.

Flipflop Solitaire is a fantastic version of Solitaire. It switches up the rules in subtle ways that force you to think differently about the classic game. That said, the game’s changes to the basic formula might be a little too nuanced. Flipflop Solitaire doesn’t feel quite as revolutionary as previous Zach Gage releases, but it's a great game if you're looking for a new Solitaire experience.

The game is also simply beautiful to look at: while there’s no shortage of Solitaire options on the App Store, many default to the classic green background and bland cards we’ve seen time and again since Windows 3.0. Flipflop Solitaire is fresh, both visually and thanks to its invigorating gameplay twist that’s given us a new reason to play an old standby.
