If your mobile device does more than just entertain you on the way to work, but also provides your kids with some sanity-saving distraction, then they'll love the world, music and characters, but become quickly frustrated with the game.

Crytek's first iOS game is a decent 30-level romp for folks that are looking for something new and pretty to play on the go.

We especially liked robot monkey swinging pal Ragno, though a few more levels wouldn't go amiss. [June 2012, p.84]

Crytek's landed on the App Store, then, but it's only half of the company: the wrong half.

Fibble: Flick 'n' Roll is a nice first attempt by Crytek at breaking into mobile games, but they don't really seem to have given it their all.

Fibble is full of energy and life. It is challenging, but it's extremely accessible.

After Far Cry and Crysis, developer Crytek created a mobile game, in which players control marble-like, cute aliens, by rolling them through levels. A revolution? No, but a nice diversion from 'the real deal'.

Fibble is an entertaining and engaging puzzler from beginning to end.

The first Crytek game for the iPhone is a pleasant surprise. Maybe it is too short, but its graphics are outstanding and provides a lot of fun.

Great production values are not surprising in a game coming from Crytek, but it's a shame that Fibble confuses 'casual gaming' with 'too easy gaming'.

It's not the most original game out there, but with its gorgeous graphics and solid gameplay, Fibble is a fun and cute action-puzzle.

Crytek delivers a decent pick and play game beautiful to see but not so fun to play.

Fibble isn't a hugely original physics-based puzzle game, but at least its protagonist is more likely to hug you than eat you.

Fibble may not be for everyone due to the low challenge level early on, but it's still pretty solid. Definitely the type of game you can feel good about giving to someone-- a non-gaming young child, significant other, parent/grandparent, what have you-- and that they may have a pretty good time with.

Fibble can be infuriating to deal with, particularly when things are just slightly awry, but the game still has its fun moments. With some tighter design in future levels, perhaps this would not be an issue, and the game would be a lot more fun.

While Fibble isn't the game you'd expect from Crytek, it is a good example of the puzzle genre. By melding solid touch-screen controls, physics-based challenges, and state of the art graphics, it showcases what iOS gaming is capable of. Strip away the visuals, and you are still left with a solid puzzler which is great fun from beginning to end.

Fibble is cute, fun, unique, but ultimately a safe casual entry from a developer used to pushing boundaries; with more content under its belt and a tweak to fix control concerns, it could easily become a must-have for your gaming collection.

An impressive iOS debut, Fibble is an entertaining and engaging puzzler, albeit one that never quite sparks into life.
