Exiles' awkward controls and over-large expanses of open land hinder what is otherwise an ambitious open-world RPG.

Exiles delivers a deluxe space adventure that is worth picking up to give you a whole lot to play.

It's worth a pass unless you're the most die-hard fan of Crescent Moon games.

Painful controls, an empty open world and a boring main quest are just few of the many flaws in the latest RPG by Crescent Moon Games.

    Great idea, horrible execution.

Crescent Moon Games had set a high bar with RPGs like Aralon and even Ravensword. This game falls flat because it is not fully developed. The sad thing is that you don't even have to look to their competition, but to their own previous titles to see the possibilities. A huge open world, begging for a robust story line, lots of side missions, and great character development. You'll only find a huge world here...

Having said that, if you play this game for a while with low expectations, there are points that are fun and surprising. A few unexpected connections, some hints at depth. But the persistent bugs and eventual mission-repeating glitch at the end (locking you on the Zerran 3 moon) override those brief joys.

CMG better get a update out soon, but that's not even to begin to address what damage has been done to their branding. I hope they'll see the need to put out quality and not just quantity. As someone who had been looking forward to the next installment of Aralon, I don't know which is worse: the notion that they will a) rush & release an equally unfinished version of that game or b) take years to actually ever bring it to market.

Exiles could have been a SciFi Aralon. Instead, it is their Windows 8.
