    Between the great story, goofy characters, and solid production values, Evertales is easy to recommend. The gameplay might be a little too simple for hardcore action fans, but just about everyone else will love it.

    Evertales isn't the most imaginative game on the App Store, but it's definitely one of the prettiest, and it'll give you a decent platforming fix.

    Spiders and bats and mushrooms, oh my! Evertales starts out as a clever tongue-in-cheek platformer with a song and a tale to tell, but falls apart as it fails to reach an apex in gameplay, design or story.

    Aesthetically, Evertales is pretty good. It looks great, sounds good, and has some cute cosmetic upgrades for its heroes. Otherwise, it's bland and boring. I've always been pleasantly surprised by these studios in the past. Evertales was a surprise, but it wasn't pleasant.

    The game starts greatly but, after a bit, gameplay problems and poor variety of situations throw everything good away.
