Dumb Ways to Die is a fun and engaging experience that you can keep going back to for quite some time. The game wouldn't be exciting at all though, if not for the unlocking characters part of the game. When you reach a certain score (200, 400, 600, 800, goes in that pattern), you'll unlock a new character to see at the train station everytime you start up the game. The minigames themselves are fun, though the game seems to pick certain ones to give you each time you play. For example, you might see minigame 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 one playthrough and that's all you see. And next time, they may give you 1, 4, 9, 11, 17, 18. It's a shame you don't get to see every single minigame before you lose your three lives, but it's not a major problem. None of the minigames really stand out as bad except for the one in which a tall blue character barfs on the screen and you have to wipe it off. This minigame is very inconsistent. Sometimes, you can wipe about 3/4 off the screen and you'll survive. Other times, you can leave all but a smudge on the screen and you'll die. I wish I knew how to win this minigame because it'd save me a lot of frustration.

Another minor problem I have is the fact that some minigames can be very slow (though they do get faster as your playthrough goes on). Flicking piranhas away can take about 20 seconds when a minigame just before might've took you 2 to 4 seconds to complete. I wish they had a system where certain minigames like the piranha one only appeared when the game itself got faster.

Overall, Dumb Ways to Die is an enjoyable experience that probably won't last you long, but it's fun while it lasts. I'm sure a pacing problem and one minigame won't stop you from getting the game so go ahead and do so.

I agree with the critics (one specifically) on this game. It's fun but also repetitive. It requires a lot of speed skills and is really fun to play, although with only 12 (I think) minigames it gets boring after a while. For me the game gets a B-.

    Not a very good timewaster.

This is a great game, very fun and addictive! I totally recommend this game for its tricky levels and very cheery and sometimes annoying music!

Looking for a game to kill some time with? Then Dumb Ways to Die is a fun solution. It’s quite charming and has a high pace. Unfortunately it gets repetitive fast, because there’s only twelve mini games.

Dumb Ways to Die is free to download, so if nothing else, it’s great for a few chuckles. You probably won’t stick with it for long, but even if you delete the app, remember that train safety is forever.
