    Deep War is a bit quirky as shoot 'em ups go, for better or worse, but it certainly isn't a bad investment.

    That's the problem with Deep War. Once one level has been completed, there's no real evolution. There are no boss fights or real change in the direction of the gameplay, meaning it's not the most thrilling of games.
