This game has a lot of potential, very reminiscent of Playdom's Avenger's Alliance. Unfortunately, it's run by the hilariously inept WB Games. This means you can expect awful in-game purchases, and many, MANY hackers. New characters are only offered via time-limited events that require players to have many high-level heroes already, which simply puts more pressure on people to spend money. This game has a lot of potential, very reminiscent of Playdom's Avenger's Alliance. New characters are only offered via time-limited events that require players to have many high-level heroes already, which simply puts more pressure on people to spend money.

When you *do* spend money, you won't be able to tell what you're getting. Hero packs come with random heroes and random amounts of 'shards', which is what you need to unlock new characters or increase the power of existing heroes. Many of the in-game shop's 'deals' are priced such that you either invest heavily in the game or not at all. $50 is a popular price for items in the shop.

On top of that, they've taken a VERY odd approach to who is added to the game. As of this writing, the big additions to the game are...a bunch of oddball Green Lanterns. No great Superman or Flash villains, no Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, or other popular Justice League characters...instead, they give you Broccoli Lantern and Chimpanzee Lantern. And expect you to either pay $50 for the privilege or play the game every waking moment to keep up with PVP events.

As with most WB games, PVP is a joke, filled with hackers that miraculously get to the top of the charts using low level (and sometimes half-filled) teams. The devs continue to tinker with PVP, but do nothing about very obviously hacking players.

I gave this app almost two months to develop, to see if maybe some of the problems could be worked out. Unfortunately, it still seems like it is in a very early beta stage, despite being live. Give this one a hard pass unless you are a hardcore DC fan with a lot of disposable income and a penchant for obscure characters.

Sadly a pay to win game, you can't go to far in the "story" mode if you don't buy packs to enhance and evolve your character (the evolve your character with shards is getting pretty old already).
Even for a mobile game it goes too far with the micro transactions, how? You don't know exactly what you're getting, when you buy a "pack" you get random character shards with a very low chance

The characters and graphics are comic-like which are either great or awful depending on what you're into.
So far it seems like the game is still on beta test phase.
Hopefully they'll improve and change lot of things.

Immediate turnoff. Not only is there not a lot of content to be had here.. the pricing for this is amazingly stark and high. Way to poopoo on a potentially good game by smacking players with Macro-transactions. Not micro, this stuff isn't cheap. Pass this on to something else, people. Save your money for better things.

It’s a well-designed game that’s perfectly enjoyable in short sessions, with a free-to-play system quite honest with the player. Its biggest problem is that it can feel repetitive sooner than expected.

DC Legends is a decent turn-based strategy game, with lots of characters to unlock and a long campaign.

A perfect balance of gameplay and metagame, DC Legends is just about the best battler you can get today.
