So if you have an hour to kill and want to seriously put the hurt on some space zombies I would recommend D.A.R.K for you.

An eclectic game, capable of entertaining a vast audience of videogamer thanks to its shooting moments, explorative elements RPG features.

The idea of enriching the structure of a typical top down shooter with some adventure elements is fascinating, but unfortunately it doesn't work well. In D.A.R.K. you often have to explore an area to reach a certain number of switches, then fight a wave of zombies and evil creatures, but the overall action is quite repetitive and poorly balanced.

There is a lot of potential in the idea alone, so if GameLab can deliver the second episode and the arena mode before upping the price, they might have something truly interesting on their hands as long as they're not scared to make the puzzles a bit more challenging and the shooting parts a bit more sparse.

Monster-splattering fun. Sure, it plays like countless games that have come before it, but this action fest will keep you glued to the iPhone for hours, thanks to its addictive combat, detailed visuals and dramatic score. Three bucks well spent.

An engrossing experience that borrows elements from Dead Space as it tries to keep gamers on the edge of their seats.

It's fun enough for what it is, it just feels like it could have been more.

While you could stick with another basic twin-stick shooter, D.A.R.K at least attempts to go a step further by featuring a story and cinematics to set the mood; it's not a lot, but it's better than shooting things at random.

D.A.R.K. has the makings of an excellent dual-stick shooter, but it fails to deliver enough content.

The occasional 'scary' moments add some tense atmosphere, which the game really relies on. It's worth getting, as it will last a few hours.

An atmospheric and good-looking twin-stick shooter that's saddled with crushingly linear downtime, a rubbish plot, and control issues.
