    Overall, this is another solid entry from Spacetime Studios. They have shown that they can still make a good MMO for iOS. That being said, the energy mechanic that is taken from the Mafia Wars style of games makes it feel less like a full-fledged MMO, and more like an asynchronous mobile game.

    Dark Legends is at its heart still a fun game, and rather impressive considering that it's still free to play. It works out of the box with seamless cross-platform multiplayer. The only problem is that because it shares the core technology with its predecessors, the only differences are the setup and inclusion of vampires.

    All I can say on that front is that for a mobile MMO, it's a cut above the rest. If you play it intermittently rather than devote a whole weekend to it, you'll have a good time. Though there may be a slightly bitter taste left in my mouth over a missed opportunity, that hasn't blinded me to one simple fact; this is an enjoyable game, and a notable step in the right direction for MMOs not based on PCs. Falling just short of being fang-tastic thanks to one or two mis-stakes, I'd advise anyone with a tablet to give this a go. It's anything but a pain in the neck.

    Dark Legends won't knock your socks off, but for a free MMORPG, it's fun to play and it's adequately paced.
