A very welcome addition on my ipad. I wasn't expecting this game to come on IOS at all. One more reason to start playing this game again since there are new additions ( like touch screen , etc. ).

I had not had an opportunity to play this gem before since I never had a SNES and I haven't found it for the DS so I was extremely happy when it came to the Appstore. From what I've heard, it's not that good of a port but so far I'm enjoying it none the less. The soundtrack is one of the best I've heard in a video game.

Looks sounds and plays better on a free SNES emulator. They have an awful bilinear filter applied to the image and it's forced to widescreen instead of displaying in the natural 8:7 it did on the SNES.

favorite game of all time. The first game where The New Game Plus mode was implemented and used properly. I first played this game back on the NES and love it to death. I go back to it on my Phone from time to time. It’s up there with Earthbound and Super Mario RPG. It’s a must play I also have this for PC.

The first part of this game seems amazing, like a 10/10, one of the best games you've ever played. It then becomes and abrasive boring slow slog with cheap tactics. Oh wow, every enemy automatically takes half my health. Oh this enemy can kill me in two hits. Oh I used the wrong spell I guess cause I just healed it, now my entire party is dead and I have to redo those 5 forced battlesThe first part of this game seems amazing, like a 10/10, one of the best games you've ever played. Oh I used the wrong spell I guess cause I just healed it, now my entire party is dead and I have to redo those 5 forced battles before this again. Oh look I finally made it to the boss this will be exciting, .......oh wow they are literally reusing the same boss I just faced 15 minutes ago. God this is so lazily made. It isn't one of the best games of all time, or rpgs, or jrpgs, it isn't the best of anything.

I love the characters and the charm it shows at first, and that makes it all the worse that this game falls off such an incredibly steep cliff that you never saw coming.

This game is the first rpg that I managed to complete 100%, being a very charming and amazing experience. I grew to become attached to the characters as the story progresses, their gameplay was revolutionary for the time and remains very unique at its core. The freedom to direct where to end the story is a way to get more hooked on completing it 100%. However, the port is bad and very inefficient, it is completely better to play the "SNES" version. Expand

This is still a classic and still a fantastic game that needs to be played by any and all RPG lovers. The controls can be very, very irritating at times but the core experience, characters and storyline have weathered the storm of porting and still provide as much enjoyment as they ever had. I'm still kind of cheesed-off by the butchering of Frog's script, though.

This is still the Chrono Trigger fans have come to know and love even despite Square Enix' stubborn refusal to shape its games to suit the iOS platform; this can dampen the experience, but its core still shines through.

As a game, Chrono Trigger is perfect. As a port, we've seen better.
