I also kind of think that it'sThis game is actually a pretty decent game, and despite some minor flaws it can still give you a good time.
I also kind of think that it's really up to the person what outweighs what in this game: the weak parts or the good parts. So I will give a list of both.
The game has the best possible control for a shooter on ios. I played this with the same comfort that I played fallout three on my Xbox ( although you kind of need a tablet for optimal gameplay) There is a small but satisfying amount of weapons, armour, abilities, and upgrades that can match any playstyle. There are sniper rifles, swords, shotguns, machine guns, rocket launchers, energy weapons, you use whatver strikes your fancy(and whatever you can uprgarde! you won't get the laser death beam right away,or the energy weapons for that matter ). The combinations between armour, abilities, upgrades, and weapon sets are almost endless, and can match any playstyle. In addition to that, the game contains a common but still pleasant alliances feature, and it activley hosts events and challenges, which you can complete for more gems, obsidian, or cash. What makes this game truly good over top of all this, is that it requires skill. In many games today, such as turned based RPG's and some turned based strategy games, if you have superior gear, you can and will crush significantly inferior players with the tap of a single button. Here, you must still travesrse the map, carefully seeking out down your oppponent. Even in cases where you weapons and armour are better, you still get enjoyement out of hunting the person down, like a person gets joy out of hunting for deer in the woods. Aginst eqaul players, the game is an epic and true battle of skill that few games effectivley capture. And I must also mention that you can get killed by lower level players, so you have to be carful and smart at all times. If a newb just got his hands on a sword and comes up behind you while you are massacaring the enemy team with your high end sniper, you're most likely going to die. That is, unless you skillfully react right away, turn around and swap to your close range weapon before the second hit comes, and sucessfully execute run and gun. To put it short, this game is rewarding to those who can play it well. The map design is good, and they can create unique expiriences. There are also multiple gamemodes, which once again add variety and allow you to play how you want to play. There are cosmtic items, fair team balancing (most of the time) and okay graphics.
Now, the game has its flaws. First of all, it is a pay to win in some sense. If you spend one hundred dollars and buy a guardian energy suit complete with its weapon set, you can get on the leader board in a week. And the fair team balancing is fair, but imperfect. Instead of putting in all people of the same level, it puts in any players, and the criteria is that the SUM of the levels for both teams have to be about the same. That means that you WILL get put in a match against professionals that are on the leaderboard, who can vaporise you in seconds with their energy weapons. But on the flip side, you'll have another person of the same level to balnce the game, but this system allows the good players to wreck newb for the fun of it, and that will happen to you. There are some bugs to the game, but they aren't game breaking. On one of the maps, if you jump in a certain place, you can walk on the air. But both teams can use it, and It's fun to have some arieal shootouts from time to time. Another problem that this game has is that it takes time to level up and get the good gear. I played for half a year without spending any money, and only then I could say that I became a very good player, I could wreck 70 percent of people in matches, and I could get some decent loot of events. I was in the top twenty percent of all the players in the game. I never got on the leaderboard, no matter how hard I tried, and I owned only three fifths of all the wepons and armour, and I was nowhere close to maxing them out with upgrades. That is when I quit the game. For all the fun that this game provides, it's hard, it's filled with pay to win people, it's at times hard to buy the wepons that really match you pleystyle. You'll need to play a couple of weeks to get the gatling gun, you'll need a couple of months to get the sniper rifle. You can get it in ten minutes by spending money. You will get pwned over and over by superior players, and you will often feel frustaration.
Overall, this game provides a fun but frustrating time, with good control, plenty of features, and a true emphasis on skill. It's worth a play, especially since it is free.
p.s I apologize for the bad spelling, I'm not going to spend another half hour editing this.… Expand
