    Props to Metacritic. I complained they did not have this game up and within less than an hour they responded by email with a link. On to the review: After having played this. I have to lower the score for wayward souls, which was probably a two compared to this game. This game is what DIablo 3 should of been. Its mind-blowingly good. The Toucharcade review is spot on. DEPTH DEPTH DEPTH. this game has it. Quests and storylines are BOMB. with twist on twists. Makes you feel like you have LOTS of choices that makes real impacts upon the story. You can be a goody good or wicked or in middle. The class system is a dream. You can diversify or focus like the TA guy says but after hours of experimentation I focus on being the gandalf wannabe. Dam, my wizard is so badass!!! thats what i feel like as I play this. but its not overpowering, the challenge is LEGIT. balanced almost as good as dark souls. I gave up RPG's for awhile b/c i couldn't stand the combat of final fantasy and skyrim, but then this new generation has games like Demon's Souls and this game which make RPG combat as good as it gets, painfully challenging with fluid controls. Death is horrible in just right way, partly b/c the economy is pretty well balanced. Every coin you get seems to matter and when you die, you lose a big chunk of your dough. Like Zombieville, the ability to customize your character is FUN and Complex. Not annoying and complex like some games. The guy in TA says you will run out of batteries multiple times on your ipad from trying to play it unplugged b/c its sooo addicting....that **** is happening to me. I'm not writing anymore. I'm going back to play dammit! Get this game. Support Mika mobile ( i think that's the company?) they take awhile to come out with games, but when they do...they knock it out of the ball park.

    The phone screen is way too small for a game like this. This game would be great on real hardware, or even a larger hand-held (still, better on real hardware like a PC). Games like this just prove that iOS is an awful platform for anything but cheap, simplistic casual games. Port the game to PC, and you would have yourself a great experience.     Horribly overrated game. Below average RPG. The game has absolutely zero depth. You fight substantially the same battle every round. There is no world and every battleground is exactly the same. No storyline, etc etc.

    The company behind this game, "Mika Mobile", has incredibly poor business practice.     I won't be supporting anymore games released from Mika Mobile and I suggest that you don't give them any of your money either. They don't care about the consumer, it's all about the money. It's hilarious to see this kind of attitude from a small-time developer.    … Expand

    Battleheart Legacy is not an overly complex, story-rich RPG, so for those of you seeking engrossing epic tales, look elsewhere. It's not about "twitch" action, like for    Battleheart Legacy is a great little game. I just spent over 20 hours in order to finish it, and I enjoyed it a great deal. However, there is a "but": you have to know what this game is about before investing time in it.

    Battleheart Legacy is not an overly complex, story-rich RPG, so for those of you seeking engrossing epic tales, look elsewhere. It's not about "twitch" action, like for example Wayward Souls. The action is pretty straightforward, and success is not depending on your knowledge of sliding walls or crumbling platforms. It's not a sandbox game, in which your responses and choices shape the outcome of your story. The game world is pretty linear, and different locations on the world map even have their recommended experience level mentioned, for your convenience. Oh, and you DO have different ways to respond to characters, but it really makes no difference.

    Battleheart Legacy is ultimately all about character customization. From the start, not only do you have the choice how to distribute your experience points among stats like "Strength", "Endurance" and "Skills", but you also have the freedom to follow the teachings of diverse classes, like Knights, Ninjas, Barbarians etc etc. Each one requires you to invest your experience points in a certain stat in order to develop your skills. And you can combine whatever you like. You also have a huge assortment of weapons, armours and items at your service, which have their direct impact on the looks of your avatar.

    It's actually this character customization that makes the game so enjoyable. However, the action is not exactly button mashing either. You have to find out nice combos of skills, and find out what's the best timing to use any. It is however very "Arcade-ish": Each area of interest consists of several "rooms". Upon entering the room the enemies inside attack you, you kill them. Then you follow the big green arrow to the next room. Of course there are some - not so well hidden- treasure chests here and there, but it's all pretty much about fighting your way through, finish the area, and seek out the next. There are some simple and humorous quests along the way, but mainly in the early stages of the game, but don't expect too much storywise.

    I realize I'm sounding a bit negative here, but actually I'm not: Battleheart Legacy is the perfect RPG to play in small bitesized chunks. And the challenge of it lies in the AVOIDANCE of grinding. Sure, you can level up to level 20 before taking on a level 12 area, but where's the fun in that? I actually managed to complete most areas 2 levels below the recommended experience level, which brings about a certain pride.

    So, should you get this game? My answer would be a resounding "Yes", .... IF you realize what kind of game you're getting into.    … Expand

    Good balance, but the pace is too slow and laborious indeed, often find myself forced to go over missions over and over again! Other than this, great music, easy control, a fun game not to miss!

    This game has endless re-playability due to its class system. Unlike in some RPG's you aren't chained down to 1 class, no no, you get points on each level that you can put in several stats like charisma, int, skill, etc. And with those points you can buy spells in all kinds of classes for example necromancer or barbarian. Another factor that gives this game re-playabiltiy out the ass isThis game has endless re-playability due to its class system. Unlike in some RPG's you aren't chained down to 1 class, no no, you get points on each level that you can put in several stats like charisma, int, skill, etc. And with those points you can buy spells in all kinds of classes for example necromancer or barbarian. Another factor that gives this game re-playabiltiy out the ass is its story line, Every conversation will give you multiple options, in some you may insult the other guy and in others u can agree leading into a different story line.
    My only complaint is that once you reach level 10 or so you don't have many quests left, and at level 15 they're literally are none, leaving you to grind the **** out of areas that you already did until you can actauly beat areas at higher levels.    … Expand

    一改往日战斗之心的风格，彻底ARPG化。本作可以说是相当成功。有着主机游戏般丰富的职业设定和打击手感。实属是iOS上不可多得的ARPG游戏。

    Battleheart Legacy is a grind tempered by a world that’s a pleasure to inhabit, and combat and progression systems that gradually reveal layers of strategy and possibility. Even though I disagree with some of its design decisions, I will keep playing it for some time to come. [Episode 7, September 2014]
