Keeps quite a bit true regarding facts about each ship and makes multiple references to historical fact between the ship's stories. While it is a waifu collector, there are multiple things to do to increase your ships' effectiveness. The combat is similar to a side-scrolling bullet-hell. It can be played manually or automatically. Team chemistry is key and there are several combinations one can use. The meta is not strictly SSR. This is a game where almost any ship can be viable with the right team chemistry. It's hard to find a better gacha game than this. Expand

Is an awesome game, absolutely friendly with f2p players. The story of the game is not important here, but that is offset by a well-thought-out and very fun game system. It also has cute waifus for all tastes.

One of the best gacha game right now,
The rate is is very forgiving with big 7% drop for SSR.
Character design is also great, every faction has it's own unique identity that makes one stands from another, for example the Sakura have Kitsune/Oni themed charactes while the Iron Blood have goth mecha looking theme. The devs are also great and very competent with scheduled maintenance and

Great gameplay, Great Characters, Good & newbie friendly community

The only issue are the events that feels like there's no brake for it. An event last for 2 weeks and we only get few days for another events (including mini events)

tldr - the game is like an anime-style hotel with no staff by the front desk.

The game itself is okay. It's a simple side scrolling bullet hail game with a bit of action - reminiscence of the retired R-Type games we had in the past. In place of starships, we have cute anime girls personified as World War 2 ships. The notable enemies in this game are ships that you can collect

In place of starships, we have cute anime girls personified as World War 2 ships. The notable enemies in this game are ships that you can collect yourself as you play through the game. Just like the CN and JP release, this game is generous on gacha. As a free-to-play player, you could get most of the ships in the game without spending any real money. If you do plan on spending real money; however, be warned. Yostar Limited has no real customer support in the States - as mentioned below with my score.

Score 3/10. The game and gameplay are not the reason for this low review score; it is the complete lack of customer service and correspondence.

I sent a request (a rather dire one, I might add, considering it concerns the fate of my account after a botched linking via Facebook) to the email address provided on their app page on Fri, Aug 31, early afternoon. Since then, I have not heard anything back from their support team - not even an automated message. A day after, another message was sent to their [al.cs] email address that I'd found on the English wiki. No response from there, either. It's been a week, and all I've gotten from their customer service team (of which I am beginning to question even exists) is complete silence.

Since then, others in my gacha group have done the same. They have reported no response, either.

I can understand if there was a delay because of the weekend/holiday, but there needs to be at least some level of correspondence to know that, at the very least, our messages have been received. Ideally, I would like an explanation for what occurred and what can be done from there (such as the restoration of my account), or some assurance that the issue has been or is being looked into. Silence does nothing to instill confidence in a customer.

While Azur Lane is just a game, it is technically a service as well. If a customer no longer has access to their account due to an error caused by Yostar Limited's localization team, then they ought to fix it and ensure that they are giving their customers the service that they deserve. Because Yostar Limited spectacularly failed in this respect, I cannot recommend this game to anybody, if such basic protocols of customer service cannot be adhered to by this developer.

Generic chars, generic music and a generic story. This game has nothing new and fell's so old fashioned that it doesn't appeal me. And what is the deal with this overwhelming amount of short clothed Loli's?!

I have been playing Mobile Videogames since 2015 or a bit early if I can't remember at the moment.

But Azur Lane it's like those Anime — Generic Games, with Fan Service that makes it more a product than a true history. It maybe has their own style, or their own mechanics but to be honest, I didn't like it. They maybe have their own anime or other products to be consume, but I think it's

Each ship's design is heavily based on her real armament, design, and nation when she existed, and even has designs for ships that never existed. My personal favourite is the KMS Roon, a ship made up for World of Warships (I think?) that came into Azur Lane. There are crossovers with some amazing game series, including Dead or Alive and Hololive. I will keep sinking time into this game for years to come. Expand

The game is deep enough to invest time and build different kind of builds, is simple enough where it is easy to understand and get into it. The game is like a big party and the people behind the game want everyone to have a good time, so they focus on making sure the pry is as fun as possible, including giving free wine, that wine..being in game ways to earn the characters and play the gatcha at a good rate. If you want a game to pass time, watched the anime, or just like gatcha/mobile games, strongly recommended to pick it up. Expand

Azur Lane has enough interesting ideas of its own to help it stand out a little from the crowd, and there’s a considerable amount of content here to enjoy right from the get-go. It’s perhaps a little overly-complicated for its own good, and anyone who isn’t already somewhat familiar with games like these is probably going to be scared away by its busy interface and tutorial avalanche. At the same time, it’s not hard to see why this game was a pretty big hit in other regions. The art is good, the gameplay is reasonably fun, and there’s a lot to chew on for those who get engaged with it.
