I had refused to believe a game like this could succeed on mobile, but Afterpulse has proved me wrong.

Afterpulse almost certainly shouldn't be as good as it is, but it is as good as it is, and you should definitely play it.

Afterpulse is yet another example of a mobile game that strips away all the fluffy extras and instead focuses on delivering a tight, fun experience that's perfect for on-the-go gaming. Unfortunately, it sometimes feels a bit too focused, as it really could do with one or two other gameplay types beyond simple deathmatches.

Absolutely stunning from a graphic perspective, Afterpulse ultimately ends up struggling with the same problems that affect almost every single third person shooter on iOS.

Pros: Good gameplay, and decent graphic for a first-shooter game on a mobile platform.
Nay: Substandard gameplay experience with poorly distributed odds of getting reasonably-good weapon which translate to constantly being overpowered with full stars weapon and higher-end armour in a multiplayer match (this read, a sure defeat for newcomers). Plus, spending money on the gold in the game to get purportedly excellent weapon is such a huge scam. Pretty hard to spawn good weapon and most of the time, substandard mediocre weapon of the same model will be spawned.
Verdict: Substandard and mediocre gameplay experience is a good enough reason to avoid this game although the graphic is amazing. Until the day when the developers have taken action against these major issue, it is advisable to avoid this. A quick glance at the official forum would give an idea of how bad is this game and the frustration users are facing.

The original version (reviewed above) was promising, but the game has been crushed by the weight of badly engineered patches. Current gameThe original version (reviewed above) was promising, but the game has been crushed by the weight of badly engineered patches. Current game play is slow and crash prone.

Game play runs on a 10-30 day marketing cycle. You need to spend $200-$1000 to get OP equipment for the current cycle. Then the next cycle trashes your gear and brings in a new set of gear.

Customer service is awful. There's no player interaction or teams. Maps are small and filled with spawn traps. Match scoring is buggy. The processing engine will bog down during ranked matches and freeze your soldier or kick you out of the match with a penalty.

Avoid. There's plenty of better games out there.
